Players who never quite made it

Frankie di Santo. -
Good spot. Good to see Chapman's name up there too.
-
"Bloody glad you ain't manager" is "an Insult" worthy of complaining about Chaddy? Get real.
-
The Queen won't understand a word he says! Keep it simple Kenny!
-
Hasn't Dack got 3 years left on his contract? Can't see why on earth we should let him go whatever the offer. He can stay with us and increase his value----win/win. Either grasp the new enhanced contract or stay on the old one. With 3 years left the club holds all the aces. If, by some miracle we were to be promoted in a couple of seasons, he wouldn't need to leave at all.

As opposed to filling them!

Chrystal palace in some strife too--failure to put financial returns in on time.
-
Concerned but not surprised?

Sell Sell Sell!!!

Chelsea fans might be feeling the cold though!
-
He only held one view at any one time. He just changed it now and then!

TBF Chaddy said "knowledge" of this league not experience. How you could have experience of this league without gaining the knowledge is beyond me but Coyle managed it.
-
Pity they didn't have anything like that to say when the FFP team came ahunting round Ewood a year or two back. Don't disagree with the basic thrust of the article though.
-
Remember those Cup games? He didn't get enough chances imo.
-
That's so true. Brad nearly always stayed on his line. Vital that Raya does the same as he was doing later in the season. However a big, ugly, gorilla is need at centre-back to challenge.

You are forgetting the disparity in size.Blackburn and Darwen---about 100000? Liverpool 880000! Comparing proportions doesn't really come into this. They could even have a larger % of people on low incomes but still have hundreds of thousands more with higher. Besides, Liverpool has a vast fanbase outside Liverpool---including Blackburn! even having 2 clubs there doesn't change that. The crowds will gradually come back if we do well, I agree with that. Burnley manage on less than 20000.
-
You should hold your hand up there and accept that you have made a wholly inappropriate response. to a real issue. Could you live on such a paltry amount and then buy a season ticket? I've quoted factual information to show that Blackburn is one of the very poorest communities in Britain. New cars and season tickets come under the heading of discretionary expenditure---many don't have any. Rovers are free to charge any amount they like but equally will have to take into consideration that a larger proportion of our potential fan base than almost all of our rivals simply CANNOT pay. Cheaper football brings bigger crowds-----we know that because we have proved it in the past.
-
Football has followed the money. The southeast is the most prosperous area these days and these former little clubs with virtually no history have taken the place of formerly great clubs. Today's reality. Read the other day that the average net household income in Blackburn is just over 12000 quid! Average for the country as a whole is over 19000!. Puts the price of a season ticket into perspective doesn't it?

limited funds available, has to be spread around?

Your moniker is confusing me! My eyes aren't great these days and it always looks like Pornster to me! Sorry!

Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section

They presumably have their reasons and that's good enough for me. -
Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section

Bit condescending? If that's where they wanted to be who are you to say they're bizarre? -
Of course they had to spend money-----to keep the club afloat after all they did to destroy it. As for your second sentence, what does it mean? They've borrowed against their assets---serve them right.
-
Most of our fans are not fickle, certainly no more so than any other set of fans. Given what we have been through these last few years I'd say that the fans' loyalty has been awesome.

We could even become a yo-yo club for a few seasons like Burnley. ie get promoted, spend the minimum and collect the parachute money and get promoted again. So long as we got stronger every year till our Premier League place was more assured, I could cope. However Bob, the issue is the Raos. Are they steady enough to have a plan and stick with it for a number of years? Nothing we've seen so far gives me any confidence about that. The best plan for me would be for them to get us back in the Premier League and sell. Good riddance.
