No, I think they’ll be 12:30 if they’re on the tele on a Saturday - I’ll take another look! Edit - there will be 5 championship and 5 league 1 and 2 (combined) matches broadcast each weekend. Of these 10, 5 will be kicking off Saturday 12:30: Each League weekend fixture round will see 10 live EFL fixtures shown. Five matches will take centre stage in the Sky Bet Championship and fans in Sky Bet League One and League Two will benefit from greater coverage than ever before with five games being broadcast live. We have protected 832 key Saturday 3pm matches and introduced extended notice periods for fans, balanced club selections and five weekend matches at Sat 12.30

Correct: Will Article 48 (3pm blocked broadcasting period) still apply? Yes, the blocked period between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays will remain. This means there will be seven 3pm games in the Championship, and 19 x 3pm games in League One and Two combined, which will not be broadcast each weekend

I expect you’re right - plus they probably couldn’t be arsed trying to get UEFAs permission for it.

6000 x £379 = £2.27 million 10000 x £300 = £3.00 million Clearly those numbers are ‘for illustration only’ but they show you don’t even have to take into account any other match day income. That being said, hopefully even our commercial department put a ‘percentage of profits’ clause into the outsourcing contracts - or do you know for certain they’re just based on a ‘flat fee’

I can’t find this information, where did you get it from? What happens if one club says yes and the other says no?

Just had an email to say 48 hours to go and then the prices will increase. It sounds like they’ll be increasing again after 26th May. Piss up and brewery come to mind.

If the EFL wanted more coverage, why didn’t they go with the reported offer by DAZN to broadcast every single match?

It would be more profitable- you know it, I know it, I expect even Waggott knows it. But it would also take more effort - something SW is clearly unwilling to make.

Also the more they stagger the fixtures the more it distorts the competition. Clearly we failed to take advantage, but by the time we kicked off against Luton we knew it was back in our hands.

I was going to mention away games but you’ve beaten me to it. 12:30 at Plymouth, or Ipswich, or Norwich, or Millwall, or Swansea, or Cardiff… is inconvenient whether a week or a year notice is given. ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see’

It’s down to broadcasters falling over themselves to offer ridiculous amounts of money. It will all get pissed up the wall anyway - the TV income has been increasing for decades but clubs still continue to make higher and higher losses.

I’m sure your right about them ranking towards the bottom overall. By way of comparison, Manchester United’s accounts for the same period have their overall staff costs as £372.5 million. United also spent £23.8 million on ‘compensation for loss of office’ aka sacking people. Sorry for going off topic.
