  1. Unless I’m mistaken (which is often the case 😁😁) the court hasn’t said Diarra didn’t breach his contract but that this shouldn’t be used to prevent him from working elsewhere.
  2. If he is sacked for breach of contract (which your examples would be) wouldn’t the loss of transfer fee be a consequential loss for which the club could sue the player?
  3. Precisely, the minute he pleaded guilty the automatic 3 game ban should have kicked in. That would have given the FA until after the international break to decide on the necessary additional punishment.
  4. I can’t see anything that suggests transfer fees have been ruled illegal in that article. It looks to me like a ‘niche’ ruling that the press will speculate into something far bigger than it is.
  5. Could be the things I mentioned in this post.
  6. The judgment shows they didn’t consider Suarez’s previous actions (although admittedly they may have subconsciously done so) There are references to ‘top division’ and ‘worldwide audience’ in their explanation to his punishment so perhaps (incorrectly imo) the PNE player will get a lesser punishment as it’s ’only’ the championship. I guess we will all find out soon enough.
  7. https://www.thefa.com/News/governance/2013/apr/~/media/164A568A93784FE391CC1FDAB4D7313F.ashx See sanction section, I see no reference to the previous incident being mentioned.
  8. There’s an automatic six match ban for spitting at an opponent - do Preston seriously think biting is a lesser offence than this?? Absolute wassocks (as are the FA should he get off so lightly)
  9. First call up since he was failing to impress at Liverpool.
  10. Admits biting someone but isn’t immediately banned. Well done FA…
  11. Sorry to quote myself but turns out (surprise surprise) that Ridsdale’s words did mean the square root of fuck all.
  12. I’ve looked up the midweek away records for those teams (since 2012): PNE P 53 W 20 D 13 L 20 Bristol City P 57 W 16 D 8 L 33 Rovers P 62 W 8 D 13 L 41 Admittedly that’s a small sample size but it does appear we struggle more than others.
  13. They beat us 5-0 the season after we won the PL.
  14. I can’t believe other clubs have such a vast contrast but you never know… Final stats before I bore everyone 😁😁… Points per game difference between our home and away championship records for those periods… Saturday matches = + 0.36 ppg at home Tuesday matches = + 1.57 ppg at home Wednesday matches = + 0.78 ppg at home.
  15. I was almost as shocked by our Tuesday home record over that period: P 37 W 24 D 7 L 6 F 62 A 29
  16. Our Tuesday night championship record away (since 2012) is: P 39 W 4 D 10 L 25 F 33 A 64
  17. Currently he is still available for their match tomorrow - if that ‘appropriate action’ doesn’t included them not selecting him then Ridsdale’s words will mean nothing.

  19. He needs to have a word with his boss about pricing then.
  20. Sly And The Family Stone - Family Affair
  21. I like the way the PL have stated supporter consultation will take place whilst also confirming this change will definitely be happening.
  22. The worst bit of rule 9.4 (in my opinion) is the penalty points are taken after 42 games and not at the end of the season.
  23. Is that what the ‘higher ups’ said you should do or did you start to ignore their guidance?
