There are over 1800 cases listed for tomorrow in Delhi alone.

I imagine plenty of people will remember FA cup matches going to fourth replays. This ongoing saga puts that to shame.

A solicitor has just accused the court of being political. It’s properly kicking off lol No idea what the case is.

A normal club would have ‘what if’ lists available for all foreseeable eventualities. Ours on the other hand…

Court is still sitting, waiting to catch what number case they are up to.

As you say, it doesn’t cost them a penny as long as they stick to the rules. What it does do is reduce the cash/borrowing facilities they can use for other matters.

I think people’s issues with the removal of replays (well certainly mine) aren’t really related to the change of likelihood of the underdog winning. It’s more to do with the removal (as seen yesterday) of a non league club’s opportunity to earn a money spinning (future changing) replay at a PL ground. With regard to too much football, again for me, the issue is these extra games are either meaningless internationals or additional European ones (whose intent is just to make the rich clubs richer).

Have there been any ‘giant killings’ in replays other than Hereford (vs Newcastle)?

I think 2nd year scholars are the youngest who can be loaned out - and then only to a non league club.

I can’t find a more up to date figure but as at March ‘23 they’d had 83 of their previous 84 ties televised in the UK.
