  1. They won't discuss it without owners permission and the cloak and dagger operation at Rovers means that'll never be granted. So if you ask him Steve will say he's looking into it.
  2. It's written in the stars. Obviously i wish Mowbray well but the longer Venus is in charge there the better so hopefully Tony puts his feet up until summer.
  3. If it has gone through prepare for the club PR, Venky bots and groupies to get active quickly again on the LT, Faceache etc.
  4. Looks like the boxes have been ticked and the next one set OR funds haven't been approved because they've been made aware of incoming transfer money and bills being paid so have said come back in August when that runs out ! Expect the next one to be moved back at some point as well it's way to positioned for a transfer window.
  5. Brum fans not happy tonight.. Not having a go in must win home game, don't lose instead of try and win mentality backfiring, players have downed tools in managers absence they can't be arsed, wish we still had Eustace at least they tried for him ! Strange division this full of strange players.
  6. Something i touched on in the past but it's not the way they do it which is why i'm convinced it's number crunching the head company accounts that suits them losing a certain amount each year. Like all these mega wealthy types they run things on huge debt and bleed out into their own pockets avoiding tax along the way which is fine when you have a massive turnover and acres of land to secure borrowings against. Non of their other businesses could sustain the loses it takes to run Rovers and they'll never use their personal stash because they'd never be able to get it back. A one off cash donation now and again wouldn't do any harm though !
  7. The same things must've applied at Brum but maybe 'one of our own' type feelings might have given him a pass down there that he was never going to get here.
  8. So it looks like its been put back again ? Well i never, why rush i mean we must have at least two grand of the first Wharton instalment left !
  9. Sell Sammie in Summer and that'll be 30 mill plus of players either through academy or bought and developed so they'll be jumping over themselves to say their model worked. Bonuses in certain pockets and carry on.
  10. Probably down to a loyalty bonus when he signed his contract here that would be paid if he saw it through ( no doubt Nyambe, Rothwell, Lenhihen and BBD benefited from similar hence them happy to walk ) So if the club sell they are liable to pay up straight away as they are the sellers, although no doubt it'll be spun as he wanted to leave.
  11. By the sounds of his latest comments hes shrugged his shoulders and is expecting it to go to the wire. If it does we'l fail. Surely though just one other win since Stoke and we might not have to go down to the wire. When a new guy comes in to turn it around i'd have thought 'must win' from the word go was the mentality needed. Now he's preaching grim acceptance.
  12. Sadly they ain't on trial for crimes against an English football institution nor money laundering it's just a box ticking exercise, yes you can release funds/no you can't release funds we need more information, case adjourned !
  13. And why can't we, why haven't we emulated them in the last decade ? How can clubs almost extinct, Cov are another, who've plumbed the depths, had tiny income because they didn't have billionaire owners then suddenly come back and surpass us ? Preston as well, Burnley in our shadows for 3 decades have now left us behind in the time Venkys have run this club. It's unbelievable it's like a work of fiction.
  14. 'Nobody would buy us we lose 20 million a year...' Social media tag line.
  15. We are a holding club for the likes of Luton and Brentford these days, maybe even Ipswich. That's some achievement in a decade by this ownership they must be so proud.
  16. Dann was a good player - not here odd game aside - but he was a tosser with an attitude just here as a stepping stone whilst earning massive wages. There was something very odd about that signing but it was in an era of odd signings so it's nailed on to be iffy. We have to remember it started with the transfer fee quoted as millions to pacify Brum fans when in fact it was a lot less and made up massively in unlikely add ons. Source - Nixon, when he was doing his 11 pm'ers courtesy of his foot in the Anderson camp. Brum needed him off the wage bill pronto and he wasn't fit. Came here simply to get fit and get gone. Also more whiff, he was signed by Kean and when we were relegated the Snake then made him club captain which meant the relegation decrease in his wages was avoided due to the terms of his contract and being made captain, 35k pwk i believe. Just another in the long line of piss takers.
  17. The first Mowbray game i saw was Barnsley at home and i knew then we'd go down and probably posted it on here. Team was shite, defence made mistakes and his tactics were odd and in the first several games i saw nothing to make me think he was the man for the job. Of course that wonderful hindsight tells us if he'd maintained that record over a season we would have stayed up but the reality was neither he nor the squad had enough about it for almost half a season to do enough.
  18. League 1 is full of Garretts, Leonards etc league 1 clubs do have their own young players you know. If you think what's left of this squad will do well i'd suggest you need a rethink our wallflowers will get kicked from pillar to post.
  19. Because the Ewood brains trust have now chosen to blow a million on 2 short term to the end of the season 'frees' instead of committing a bit more in a 2 year deal for a better and slightly younger player. Penny wise pound foolish as always but it's ok the bean counters see the sense in it !
  20. We'll go there and park the bus, hoof it to Gallagher and lose 1-0.
  21. Fine lines again today. Nothing wrong with the start and we should have been 2 too the good but they did carve is open too easy once they settled down. Clearly our lack of pace at the back is a target and gives a massive dilemma for Eustace in the need to not play too high a line which then affects us attack wise. Crap recruitment for years is behind that we haven't had pace anywhere in defence since Olsson but these present lads don't just lack pace they have concrete boots but fatigue won't help. Today though keep 11 and we might have been holding on for 3 points it seemed one of those days but in the end it's a fortunate draw. Over all another shite week which seems in some parts to be triumphant because 'at least we didn't lose' and whilst there is truth in that it also can't be overlooked that if we went for it in the games and just won 1 then that's 3 point instead of 2. That was the JDT philosophy.
  22. Well i've been saying that for a decade and something finally did in terms of the funds being used for houses and pop stars instead of the club. I'm certain there is loads more but that will be well buried now and nobody will investigate it anyway this has only come to light because of a miffed govt in India. They've only scratched the surface and will only be interested in anything that looks like they've been evading tax so it'll probably blow over eventually. Then we'll be left with much reduced funding due to the 20% levy so league 1 we are coming whether it's now or in the near future.
  23. I see where you're coming from but he did sign a contract which enabled Rovers to get a fee plus add ons. He could have walked 12 months earlier for minimum compensation so he obviously wasn't that eager to leave until there was something he probably couldn't turn down financially. Booing him is petty, best just to treat him with silence.
