Prem teams although their passing is quicker and more accurate it tends to leave more spaces and be more open as they look to let the ball do the work. So that suited JDTs style and our young players coped with the pace better than a more senior side imo. That's out the window now though so if it were me i'd still start a young team with many changes and go down the JDT route of be brave, have a real go, make a statement this is your chance. Personally i see no point in risking all the key older players just to try and hold on for 95 mins then getting beat anyway. Just have a real go with young legs and take what comes that's what the cup is all about.

We warned the keeper situation would cost us and it did no doubts about it and there is a whole host of people to blame for that. Ironically Leo is probably the last one. -

The BBE seems emptier every game and that's a sure sign pissed off regulars are staying away now. -

Who would be the least bit surprised they've blown a chunk of the first Wharton instalment on another with an awful recent fitness record. It's just sooo Rovers. -

We haven't though and they'll probably be happy if they can flog him for 1 mill plus add on's once Batty has steeped into the first team squad. That's the model brought to you by Suhail, Waggot and Greg Broughton. Top 6 doesn't come into it. -

If we did go into admin and people lose jobs it isn't because of fans wanting rid of the ownership by any drastic measure. It's because of the rotten ownership itself. -

But.... You build from the back and give yourself the firm foundations to keep conceding low and hope to build on it at the top end. Hard to beat in other words. So Brum was a dour stodgy game and a 0-1, PKE 2-2 and despite a pounding for a half hour spell either side of HT we didn't completely cave and came away with a point. Similar at Cardiff they asked the questions first half but we didn't let one in and second half we had a go but they defended well, so we were difficult to play against and came away with a point. 3 away games, 2 scored 3 conceded but two draws and a fist clean sheet since November so the base is being put in place. Hence he deserves a bit of credit, entertainment isn't on his mind right now and shouldn't be on ours. -

What happened to delegation from Rovers flying to India to discuss things ? That cancelled as well or just more BS designed to placate fans ? -

Not sure if it came from Nixon or the journo at the Palace end but the thing i saw as the supposed agreement when the deal was concluded was 6 now, 6 in six months time then 6 next year and obviously add ons after that if and when they are triggered. Sounds plausible seeing as part of the hold up seemed to centre around Rovers trying to get as much as possible up front. -

Because they are still rich and stupid so think throwing money away on something either cures it or makes it look like they tried to cure it. -

Think this was a nailed on loss a few weeks ago but a bit more confident now. It won't be pretty but maybe we'll set out to be the bully boys for once and nobody complained when Hughes or Allardyce first turned up with a desperate need for points however they come. So lets leave the moaning and booing alone this is a tough ask but stick at it we can get something. Rovers 1 Norwich 1 -

It's a great excuse to not keep going to court though especially when you know there are x3 six million instalments dropping in 6 month intervals plus another lump from a previous transfer. -

An Indian fan on twitter is adamant it's all political and will resolved overnight with a change of govt over there. So if they are holding off until after the elections we could be in for a long wait ! -

There's no entertainment in 65% possession, 10 chances created, one taken whilst the opposition create 4 chances score 2 then get gifted another 1 or 2 by our keeper and defence. Game after game. -

It will take some time for that to sink in and the anger should always be at those who didn't harness what we had with JDT and took his tools away instead of trying to give him the right ones. He was far from flawless himself and added to his own demise but non of any of that is Eustaces fault he's been given a task and will go about it the best way he can with what he has. There were many rank bad performances away from home under Mowbray and i think Eustace style will be very similar but working with far less at his disposal. -

Yep Smodz had a poor game in terms of quality and after he moaned about a couple of short passes to him he then gave it away himself in good positions 3 or 4 times. However he still grafted his nuts off, chased down and tackled back which was vital to the team last night so again it's about the bigger picture. Last night was all about getting some sort of result using what we had and putting performance behind the need for points. Exactly what JDT needed to do but wouldn't and exactly what a lot have been screaming for. Like i said i like a moan but judging from many comments on last night a lot of perspective has been lost, all i was bothered about is 'don't lose, don't throw it away again, don't get caught on the break or let a set piece in.' we didn't. -

Leonard looks lively but isn't in the realms of good goalscorer yet if he was he'd be starting every time he was fit. Iv'e seen these Telalovic comparisons frequently with BBD but those making them seem oblivious to the fact he is 24 not 18/19 as BBD was. Therefore he doesn't have that kind of time on his side he is a regular squad member here and needs to be able to contribute something. If he is anything he is the new Nuttall he'll bang them in all day away from first team but at that level he's miles away and it isn't down to youth, it's down the levels of ability. -

Of course we are going the right way that's 5 points from 4 games in a very short space of time when it was looking like a lot less. Where was this miraculous change around in results under JDT coming from ? I certainly didn't see it and why has it suddenly been forgotten that we lost at home to a shite QPR and Hudds team, away to Hudds 0-3 and how did we do against Rotherham ? Yet all of a sudden Cardiff away we should be walking over ? Make it make sense, a point away there and a stodgy performance is decent enough in the grand scheme of things. I like a moan where it's justified but some people have lost touch on reality. -

It's all about understanding and accepting the current situation we are in and the limitations of the squad but some are a lost cause, no point taking them on. Are we happy ? Of course not but we should be a lot more positive of a safe finish this season than we were and that's all that matters right now. -

Nothing wrong with the approach last night. Set out to stop the opposition and go long then opened it up later on and tried to win it. Working with a very limited squad and asking loaness to throw themselves into tackles and in front of the ball. Didn't come off attack wise but there was still some decent bits of play without actually creating anything and that's nothing new. Other clubs, your Brums and Sunderlands and co have bright young players who can nick games like that, we don't. When you concentrate on defence it's going to take something away from the previous flowing back to front attacks it's a price you pay with a limited squad. Can't do both as we saw with JDT so it has to be one or the other at times. That's called plan B. -

We played like that many times under Mowbray anyone being honest will testify to that the only difference was they were angled long balls to Gally wide, or Arma or latterly BBD. Pears looks ten times more steady than he did and made two smart stops last night, i'm 100% convinced we lose that game with Leo he'd have found away to gift it. Where is the realism ? We set out to be stodgy, we were we got a point and a clean sheet, job done.
