This season might have been all about project Arma. Get him starting every game good or bad and set up to try and showcase him and get the best out of him. 20 goals says its worked in that regard but not sure it has for the team as a whole. Now he's getting ripe for selling with only a year left and if we get near some of the figures banded about a lot inside Ewood will be happy. They might even set up to try and get the best out of Gallagher next season or Brereton. Although more likely be project Travis and see what figures get banded about for him. All part and parcel of the journey, if there's anything left to reinvest we can always see who Boro want rid of.

The tombola worked for the first time in about 8 games i think is the general feeling. We did look better without Armstrong today there's an element of the old Rhodes argument there maybe. Although we've looked better without Gallagher in the side at times as well. Take all the bickering away and everyone should agree the manager rarely sets a side out with any balance. Players and a set up that actually compliment each other, when he does we tend to get a good result. It still took poor opposition today but that accounts for half the sides in the division. He's one of the luckiest managers in football yet he doesn't seem to realize it. Two weeks ago he said judge at the end of the season, now he's busy removing himself from that scenario and preparing for another summer of sticking plasters on what he should have mended years ago. Nail on head there, dumbing down of the medical depts and probably physio's as well. Alongside the gambling policy of signing half fit players and looking to rotate them. Also i think young players are always going to be prone to more niggles. Lads still growing and developing into their own bodies is bound to cause stress and strains.

I think we spoke of this on twitter but whilst you might be right there's been little evidence of it in his time at Rovers. Imo we've looked sharper under TM than Bowyers time but that can be negated by the tepid pace of this possession football. Early part of this season we looked fittest we'd been in a while but that was attributed to players still being fit from the summer. Legs soon got heavy and it showed but overall fitness wise and knocks and niggles wise we've never looked better than any other midtable championship side. Not sure why that actually is but it doesn't stack up to being trained by top notch experts.
