Summer transfer window 2021.

Probably be done to wages unless of course hes been told he's coming as understudy to the ones already here. Entirely possible. -

His martyrdom has engulfed the whole club in the last couple of years there's no winning mentality. So it's no wonder there isn't much appetite for the cup because there isn't much for anything anymore. It's all about what we can't do rather than what we might be able to do if they aim for it. Shrug your shoulders and just see what happens, no wonder it's now so clear there's been no forward planning. Just wing it from season to season. -

As excited as some are about the Southampton lad Rovers would be daft to blow the pay grade on him. Possibly about 15k pwk already budgeted for has become available after AA's departure. Do we blow that all on Obafemi ? Because a player valued at 5/6 million stepping from a Prem club whose agent knows you've just got 10 million won't be asking for peanuts. -
I was confident after Saturday but much less so now after last night i fear an early death spiral this season. Images of Mowbrays last season at Coventry keep flashing and he's finally got the team in similar shape, kids and loans ( if we are lucky ). I'm thinking the team might be angry at themselves after last night though and will motivate themselves through youthful exuberance. Millwall 1 Rovers 1

That was a good gate i'm surprised anyone who knows Rovers history in the early stages of this comp would think otherwise. The fact there was more than 3k there shows quite a few were up for it and looking forward to some footy. -

Somebody told me Bannan is on 30 grand a week ! No idea if it's true but who'd be surprised. -
My point being he'd talk his way out of it even if they did take any notice. In my humble opinion it's the middleman whose the rat in the woodwork at Ewood. They might listen to him but he's probably not painting the true picture. Keeping himself in a nice comfortable position. If he spoke up loud enough surely they'd listen as that's his job. Allegedly.

You think the owners listen to us or Mowbray ?

Depends where you're looking.

I think once those at the club had checked out the family and company that had been presented to them by the nest of vipers acting for them. Then realized they had a huge legit business and were absolutely loaded then at this end they would have done anything to get a deal done. Hence the mess that followed, they were only interested in the money not the characters. That's where it all fell down. -
Tonights excuse will probably be the boys reeling from Armstrong leaving. Very young emotional squad. The owners understand.

He should've been booted then never mind being around to magically oversee 2 wins in 17. -

Yep said it a thousand times if no one turned up apart from a few dozen they'd still back the manager and fund the club. Swallowing whatever crap they are being fed this end whilst the middleman keeps his cushy number going. -

No big surprise at all and we are better off out of it early this season. Hard pill to swallow i know but this squad isn't up to anything other than a big fight to keep heads above water in the league. Nothing else matters now. Not the first time we've bombed out early to low opposition and won't be the last. Sadly though this time it just highlights the problems we face on several fronts. One being the manager who WILL relegate that squad if he persists in continuing his possession shite experiment. A few days after he admitted a more aggressive style better suits this team. -

The plus side of it all is come down to someones level then they should be good at it. Maybe Mowbray will get a good tune out of this young side when there are no seniors to try and keep happy every week instead. -

The selling point from Rovers to Obafemi will be Armstrong's example. Come in, work hard, do the business and get snapped up again. One step back for two forwards type thing. Club and player will be looking for a quick turnaround. I just hope he doesn't look at the Brereton example of the first few years. I also hope he is more of an Armstrong and less of a Samuel ! -

Aren't all these sites run by the same mob ? It all started going down hill with Rovers once they'd become part of some website franchise. -

The deals for Brereton and Gallagher have contributed to why we are where we are on points 2 and 3. As pointed out though there's a point 4 and it would be that for me all day. Although if i knew their time was up for sure at the end of this season i can lump it. -

If over the course of a season 10 thousand home and away fans pay the 3 quid then hes covered his bonus i bet. -

Remember when our lot went up against Gibson over the Rhodes deal ? They didn't win that one but there's no harm in trying it on i suppose it's just business. Newcastle will get their cut there'll be no shafting them but the deal has to be the best one Rovers can get. I think their reasons for wanting a player in are genuine and not trying to swerve anything. Any money that comes in just gets swallowed up straight away but a player at least is a physical asset. Whether they get him for the right price or get their pants pulled down again is another matter. Bigger the fee bigger the agents percentage ( or whoever is doing the deals). -
Best post on the subject @JBizbravo.

Seems to do a lot of working from home apparently which is handy if you can't really be arsed coming up here. If he hadn't landed this gig off the scrapheap he'd probably be a consultant at Dagenham and Redbridge or something. When mowbray was waffling recently and feeling sorry for the billionaire owners and himself as usual he did mention the re-signing of players was down to his CEO and not himself. Was that the sound of Steve going under the bus ?

He's been quite good in this league at picking the ball up and smashing one in all by himself. He's no great he's a workmanlike striker with pace but plenty room to improve. He's been playing here in a bang average mid table championship side under the most uninspiring manager in England. He's done ok, there's a good base there to work with, Things get a bit harsh on here at times because Rovers fans have been in a permanent state of hair pulling head scratching frustration for a decade now. -

It's the principle of it that turns a lot off. To go from £25 to £32 and the only difference is it's West frigging Brom. No insults intended towards them but they'll probably feel the same about us. They'll bring two or three times what Swansea brought obviously but it's not as it they'll be selling out the end. So they fleece a few more quid out of those who turn up but probably put a few more off coming anyway. Then loads of home fans will swerve it so it renders it pointless. There'll probably be 7.5k home fans and maybe c 3k away fans so Waggot can still present it to India as a 10 thousand 'home' crowd again. 'Good turnout again Mr balaji given the circumstances. Standard Blackburn crowd again' Idiots.
