  1. Not seen the latest quotes ? The 'journey' is on temporary hold apparently.
  2. I try not to think that but then i see him sat there smug as anything with license to waffle on unchallenged. Completely re-writing his own scripts every few months to suit himself. So yes, he is !
  3. It's no wonder Mowbray strikes a chord with Venkys i said years ago he's a crafty old sod. He's been taking advantage of our situation in the way the club is run for ages now. He's nothing but a preacher they should stick a white dog collar on him. The guy will spin any situation to make himself out as the martyr. I cannot wait to see the back of him whatever happens this season.
  4. Coventry and Bolton fans having digs means absolute diddly squat they were ALL conspicuous by their absence at times in the past when their clubs were on the slide. It is the hypocritical fickle nature of some fans of clubs like those who suddenly start getting the bollocks out when their clubs are on the up again. Waste of space even entertaining them as you say. Besides per head of population Rovers still have and always have had better support than them. Coventry in particular even going back to their Prem days is shocking given the size of the place. Feck em.
  5. The way they drew their horns in so quickly last season after a few mild questions got Mowbray rattled says it all. Just exist as the clubs official mouthpiece now, i suppose it's a bit frustrating for the reporter. Not half as much as the fans though.
  6. Cracking effort from South Wales all things considered. Might even crack the 9k barrier for Swaggot to present to India dressed up as the 'home crowd' !
  7. The problem with the LT is it just toes the company line from the club and reports everything Mowbray says as gospel. Never ever pull him up on previous stuff, never call out the CEO who is responsible for all this, never expose the phantom of the opera hiding behind the curtains. In fact never ask or challenge anything. It is their responsibility to report the FULL FACTS and if they do so Mowbray & Waggots accountability would rightly be questioned. They don't though and many fans just get their rovers info from on there so the comments section reflects that. It's an echo chamber for club propaganda that 90% of the time only tells the story as they want it presenting.
  8. Actually looking forward to the game and seeing what this young side can do. As for the rest of it i pretty much feel like i did before Bowyers last season. You hope it might be different but really you know exactly how it'll pan out. And the worst thing of it all is listening to the main protagonist of it and watching the same stuff he churns out but tries to spin it under a different headline. The hidden positives though are Corry Evans has been taken away from him as has Elliot Bennett. So that little bit of predictability is removed at least.
  9. Quite high i'd say if they sell Armstrong and offer a larger loan fee and guarantee games. More money straight through the club.
  10. Pulling out all the stops now with DG. That kind of thing usually happens at half time. The propaganda this season is set to go into overdrive.
  11. It's some of us who almost have sympathy with the owners, for still being stupid enough to let the likes of him lead them down blind alleys again whilst pouring their money away.
  12. Its taken the worst season in 5 years, a pandemic, an attempt to sell half the training site, the pending sale of the main striker, the culling of almost a dozen players, unreplaced and half the backroom staff leaving before that bling laiden guy has bothered to sign a blank sheet of paper before someone has set their own narrative to it. Shove it.
  13. I'm thinking with the ownership as the tone of that letter suggests to me covid is taking the entire blame. You are correct though no way would he have got away unscathed last season. It's inevitable this season, as is people slapping each other in the stands again.
  14. Them turning up v Oxford wouldn't have been a good idea at all it would've been like just turning up to see the Queen. It's the tough times they should be here and face any music that might come their way. Brazen it out along with keeping up the funding would go further towards a bit of acceptance than just turning up for a good day. They'd be every bit as bad as the fair weather fans doing that. They need to present more of a 'we're all in it together' image.
  15. I think his feet might be further under the table than ever this season. 20 million for Armstrong and everything seems to be being laid at the Covid door.
  16. Draws won't keep us up we need to be out trying to get as many wins on the board as soon as possible. Home game first day of season against another team with problems. Go for it.
  17. I think i'll go and insert cocktail sticks dipped in vinegar into my eyeballs rather than read the LT comments.
  18. He won't know that though to them a crowd figure is just a crowd figure.
  19. Park probably has his own little network of scouts and agents so it's probably a sub contracting out job again. Not paying as many wages to full timers but get invoiced more when they do actually bring in a player. That type of thing, which makes a mockery of what they've spent the last 3 years setting up and spending on.
  20. It's always organic at Ewood and always has been. I hope 10k turn up and get right behind the team and of course there'll be chants of TMB&WA because it's all fans chant these days really. A lot don't know anything else it's the go to song for family types/kids etc. The real jury are the ones there and the real voters are the one's with feet who aren't. Various reasons for non attending but despite any excuses from anyone at the club the main driving factor is the product and what's going on around it. When fans are pissed off with everything a lot don't go, no getting away from that. So people will be there and they'll be behind the team the way it should be. Only difference is it won't take long this season for those responsible to be made well aware they are being held accountable should things follow the usual pattern.
  21. Don't think it's a case of getting money back, certainly not short term. More one of we've dolloped more in than we would normally do recently so there's no more till next summer. So in the meantime you have to find the shortfall yourselves, hence the panic. Similar to what happened before and a result of no real planning, piss poor execs and miss firing manager. All combining to leave a clusterfuck only drastic action will sort out. They are all culpable but they don't suffer it's just the club and fans yet again.
  22. Of all the overpaid dossers we've had on the payroll and some of the crocks we still retain it's a bit odd to have a pop at Dolan. He's the absolute least of our worries and if he slides away it doesn't really matter it was no real gamble. I don't think he will though i think he'll just be one of those players whose form fluctuates wildly.
  23. Could they be sending a couple of million a year from the main corporation through the club to stash in Switzerland or somewhere ?
  24. It drove a few i know into the arms of non league football.
  25. He knew how to work the system to benefit his club and himself. Old school honor amongst tea leaves you could say. The one's who replaced him were very much the modern breed. Just out for themselves no matter what.
