  1. Can't begrudge a pay off if their on a contract, can begrudge them hanging on for every last penny though. There used to be something called mutual consent. As it goes i'd just say 2 weeks notice from the end of this season and i wouldn't be telling them that until the final ball had been kicked. It wouldn't depend on where we finished either because time for change is here.
  2. Shite performance and one nil win or good possession stats and an odd goal loss ? Maybe bang in the middle and a dour nil nil, point in bag.
  3. Was a decent enough signing at the time, first cash buy for years wasn't it ? Served us well with limited ability but always tried however another sour taste in the exit for me. How many players have we got fit so they can further their careers elsewhere now ? All at a time we need defenders desperately and are losing games yet still paying thousands per week to others. Wouldn't be surprised if he brought in one of the young loans just to cover this so fook off Dereck could sort himself out. If only one of these crackpot MSL teams wanted a manager and coach......
  4. Nothing will happen for years because soon as PP is granted they'll flog the land. Then most of the much promoted improvements and rebuilding will go on ice with similar spin to this journey we are on. This is all about short term cash.
  5. Clubs need a CEO and we moaned about not having one long enough. Directors box at away games and some home games virtually empty. Or populated by a turd from Preston bringing his mates for a jolly up, embarrassing. Lets not lose sight of the past in our frustration. Waggot does strike me as the type who isn't afraid to get on the blower to India. Certain things have sped up since he's been here and we've had some decent windows. Cheston & Sylvester have over seen it before, just yes men though i pressume. THat's why they've lasted so long. Main problem here is when the low end acting CEO is a best pal of the manager and has got his feet firmly under the Venky table. We need a CEO at this club but it needs to be a good one, an honest one with no agency ties and all that. More than anything though it needs to be one who has the ability to drive a club like ours forwards.
  6. When the likes of Di Matteo are available you've just got to be considering and sounding them out. There's been others come and gone whilst we've been being fed the 'journey' line. You might get someone a bit higher profile who'll cost a bit more come in and say sod slow builds give me a 2 year contract, a bit of backing and i'll go for it. We'll review it as we go along. Can't see what there is to lose there as long as you aren't chucking 20 million at them. We are losing money hand over fist anyway and pissing it away on certain players and their wages. We dropped out the Prem courtesy of this lot and their pals nearly a decade ago now and not ONCE have we had a genuine go at getting back there. It's absolutely dire being fed the crap about that being what the owners year on year then never having a go. Then they hang on to the words a manager who to his credit has assembled a decent squad but has no intention of having a real go, just stringing it along because he knows he can't deliver it. All we want is just to have one good season in this division and finish above midtable, in something like 8 attempts !!!
  7. He can't say it's a cost cutting all under one roof job then marvel at a large Premier league clubs as an example. Double glazing salesman. It's a downscale that might pay for itself and realize a nice bit of commission.
  8. We now have people going on saying they should just sell the whole lot and build a new site elsewhere on cheaper land. Honestly i give up, similar yells for TM and his pals and 'all he's done for the club' (like er, just be paid to manage it) . Yet Jacks legacy and all he did for the club can be pissed all over so a few chancers can get kudos from their paymasters and maybe make a few quid. Are they too dim to realize they are being sold a mirage by a salesman ?
  9. Glad you've raised this point which again flies over the head of the 'nice guy' brigade. Been saying all season the squad has still been good enough the odd game aside to field a team to win games against mostly similar opposition. We were still doing ok obviously helped by the crazy early season bounce. Now as more become available we've gone into another tailspin, it's classic Mowbray. The more he has at his disposal the more crazy the selections/tactics and formations get. That's the whole issue with him just too much messing around, worrying about the odd bog standard opposition player and desperately trying to get everybody mins. it's come out in quite a few things he's said in the recent past but doesn't get picked up on. Like he puts players before points and that's why we don't kick on then keep falling backwards. An inconsistent caught in two minds manager is never ever going to fashion a consistent side and results. The evidence with him over his managerial career is overwhelming. Was similar in league 1 but we were blessed with a strong enough squad compared to the opposition to mostly carry it off. I suspect similar happened at West Brom after he inherited a squad with quality already in it. He's been trying to replicate that ever since yet it only worked once.
  10. Yes there's definitely been quite a swing in recent weeks on twitter and facebook. A lot of it is now directed towards Mowbray himself on the back of some of his jibes and excuses. So i suppose it prompts the old 'but he's a nice honest guy' crew to fire back. As for crowds i agree i think we'll be back to 6 or 7k next season if restrictions are off, which will be embarrassing for a club like us in this era. Of course they'l have the after effects of covid to hide behind. Swaggo will be doing all he can, after another price hike.
  11. There was another rumour big Chris liked the roulette table a bit too much or something similar. No idea if there was anything in it but i do know Barry Fergusons time here was linked with land deals also.
  12. If there is one platform that always doesn't reflect the genuine feelings it's the LT comments section. Makes twitter and facebook seem 99% sane, the club or whoevers PR mob camp on the LT site. In between the dingles of course.
  13. No idea, maybe he's building a Villa somewhere then, big Sam style.
  14. The few who've said all along he's just after getting himself to his pension here are turning out to be correct. Wonder if his kids are in an expensive private school or something and he's banking on being here till that finishes. He certainly seems to be getting ready to dig his heels right in and to hell with everybody else.
  15. Trouble with Mowbray going upstairs is it'll have to be his man in place below him, same as above him. Think it sounds like he's hinting at that with his don't throw it all away comments. What he really means is don't sack all my staff and start again with someone else if i go. That means Venus fly trap in the bosses chair - just look at him on the touchline with TM back seat driving at times this season. Or failing that Johnson, who would be Tony' puppet. Then he'd have to find another pointless role for Mark. He has us by the nuts whichever way you look at it, the man has been struck by Tony Blairs god complex i can see it now.
  16. They'll probably never look worth the money but i believe both Brereton and Gallagher would thrive under a different manager with a more sensible approach. Armstrong might not and not sure about Dack but that's where we are at. 4 totally different forward players but do any of them gel or compliment each other ? Not so sure they do but it's a classic example of Mowbrays muddled thinking. Any team at this level that could set out a forward line of Armstrong, Dack and Elliot should be frightening the opposition. If it was built on the base of a solid defense it should thrive. Tony Mowbray = All the gear but no pigging idea.
  17. He's another he certainly seems unsackable. How many managers has he held his clipboard under ?
  18. I think it's every manager who has HSH/SEM connections is unsackable, at least for results and insulting fans with backside covering waffle. That's the common theme here and why there's always a 'put up and shut up' attitude towards fans, usually fueled by certain media who are doing favours.
  19. Kidd - Tried a brand of tip tap football that the players weren't good enough for. Played us into relegation. Kean - Dumped Allardyce's percentage football overnight for an on the floor brand. Plus tried to accommodate certain players in daft formations to complement their revolving door make %%% policy. Played us into relegation. Coyle - Dumped Lamberts semi percentage game for a more open brand of tip tap and over lappers. Bizarrely still got goals out of Gallagher and Graham with it but assembled the worst defense in decades - Played us towards relegation. This style of football has never turned a previously bang average side into promotion contenders. Suffer a few injuries and it takes you directly the other way, that's what we've seen. To either heads above water or challenge with this you need a scorer the calibre of Rhodes and tailor it to him. There's no plan B either simply because there is no target man, once DG had gone that was gone. The style of football as much as anything else is what is costing us dear. It cost us a decent stab at the play offs after lockdown last year. He's dragged us into a hole now and clearly has no plan to get out of it.
  20. HSH supply the managers i'm not sure Senior had much to do with it at all. He was just parachuted in as a consultant to get rid of Coyle, then he was a head to roll upon relegation. He might have tried to put his name to it but really do we think they would listen to him when they've never listened to anyone else ? Iv'e been told all appointments are done well away from Ewood and even the directors didn't know who was coming until the day before they arrived. That was from someone who was involved. Same thing will likely happen again, probably after Venus has stood in for a while.
  21. Is he only just now addressing the classroom issue ? Has the building suddenly sprung up another storey on realizing he'd missed something off ? Snake oil salesman, where was this effort in trying to get fans back in after promotion ?
  22. Very very easy to do when you have the inside of a club all to yourselves and ownership thousands of miles away.
  23. Natural materials ? Hmm wonder if Mr Get Real and Flitcraft are pitching for it ?
  24. That applies from top to bottom here and it's either the void between here and India that allows it. Or that middleman who seems to have carved out a nice comfortable niche for himself. Still waiting after all these years to know what it is he really does and how much it costs. Why does he allow the manager to run a charity, players to be paid whilst getting fit to further their careers elsewhere, allow frequent signings from Mowbrays old club, stand by whilst results are poor and the manager runs his mouth off in the press, allow the stadium to turn filthy and the so called CEO to run around Brockhall with a tape measure and calculator ? Just what does he exist here for and why does he hide ?
