  1. I'd be interested to find out why that fell through then he ended up here after turning us down.
  2. Down Down is where we are slipping.
  3. Good point about having traditional full backs that's something else we've needed for years. The style he's installed doesn't get the best out of hardly any of the guys in this squad. That's been the main argument all season for me and it's just a responsible for our poor results and league position as anything else. Early season i honestly thought we'd be in for a win one lose type year where we'd doff out some beating but have to take some on the chin as well. Pretty certain that even if we hadn't got to the top 6 that way we'd be in a bit better position now. It would've drawn its critics but it would have been far more interesting. At least it would have looked like they were having a go not just protecting the status quo.
  4. He certainly isn't worse than Coyle he's down there with the worst of them is clownpants. Our Tone is and always has been bang on average who somehow overachieved for one season over a decade ago. He's just been found out, about 2 years ago if we are honest, to be a midtable championship manager with those capabilities. It was easy to over blow the stuff after the quick bounce back from league one. In many heads he's still living off that or just the nice honest man who cares image. On the field though that'll only get you so far and he isn't the first to lose his way after 3 years and won't be the last. Shelf life you see.
  5. Performance based manager and that was alright - After another defeat ages ago. We only lose by the odd goals and the opposition managers like the way we play - No shit Sherlock ! Today of course should things go wrong it'll all be about parachute money/lack of quality/budget. Maybe long journey thrown in for good measure. Things you might actually get away with saying once in a while. Not when you come out with a scripture of excuses every week but don't identify the real recurring issues.
  6. The worst bit about it is he signed yet ANOTHER player who doesn't fit the way he wants to play. This one being a 30+ center back who's been around the bloc and under different managers at Boro, never mind anywhere else. Honestly anyone now still swallowing his bullshit needs a good talking to in the corner of a room. What a W##### !
  7. Cut and paste this to facebook We never win there it's not Tony's fault, he's a nice guy.
  8. It's a failed experiment that's what it is it's taken us backwards rapidly no matter how he dresses it up. The stubborness of a dinosaur means he'll die trying to make it work, much like his signing of Gallagher. And i agree with the cowards football analogy iv'e always thought he isn't a brave manager. That's why he will never push us where we need to be going he's too comfortable doing what he's doing now. Hiding behind this possession stuff when he knows we aren't good enough but the alternative is either percentage football or a more high tempo aggressive style. The one that actually suits us better but is difficult to implement game in game out. This is just how the old Crewe style was, pretty sideways and backwards stuff, easy to put in young players and rotate others around. Sit nice and safe in the middle of the division often in touching distance of the top 6 and trading on that. That's what these lot want here as it suits their capabilities and agenda. He knows damn well the stuff he's doing won't be good enough to get near the play offs.
  9. So he's going back to December with that yet still no plan B, presumably because things improved in Jan for a bit. Then back to square one but didn't he say the other day i'm the manager it' up to me to figure a way to win games ? In that case still no plan B just keep working on the law of averages and once in a while something drops for us ?
  10. That middleman won't be sacking anybody i don't think probably too busy protecting his own cushy number. They got Senior in to oust Coyle, Lambert walked, Singh was here for the Kean, Berg, Appleton saga. Only leaves Bowyer, no sure how they sacked him but they did seem to be trying to get him to resign with the stuff leaking to the press, that he'd been sacked weeks before he was.
  11. Norwich 0 Rovers 1 Flying left winger Sam Gallagher with the goal.
  12. The Williams one was total coddswallop imo. I think he was fit and Mr Human was giving him a game to confirm this to his potential suitors. Comes through a game, all systems go so he's pulled from the rest. Tony takes responsibility for rushing him back knowing full well Fook Off Derek is flying to the States. No American club is signing an injured oversees player. These lot run BRFC to suit themselves and their players first and foremost.
  13. Just getting the excuses in, the guy is unreal he's proper hoisted the white flag recently. We are a good side because we only lose by odd goals and have better possession stats every game. We aren't far away. From what exactly ? Relegation ? If this was Coyle spewing this there'd be lynch mobs after him all over SM. And in the ground if they were open.
  14. So if the current regime aren't keen on academies but the owners are or feel compelled to keep it, because of fans and the JW connection. Then if you wanted to gently get them away from it you'd have to come up with a subtle plan to start with. Just saying...
  15. Might just be one of those things again where he gets a chance then does well. Like the early Travis situation where he really can't leave him out even if he'd prefer to. Don't worry about the other two he'll find a way to shoehorn them in.
  16. There'll be a meeting to discuss it, for sure there will. In about June when they set next years budget !
  17. If we are 5 years behind Brentford we are a decade behind Norwich. Even though they've spent about half of it in this league ! This time next season he'll be telling us we are several years behind Barnsley, he's already done it with Preston. Even though we spent one year out of this league compared to their several. Enough, really enough. He needs gagging because the lame arses in the local media certainly won't pull him up on it. No wonder a lot are brainwashed.
  18. I don't really agree with the notion that people are being disagreed with soley on their person, character or motives and not their views. It's a very passionate subject and at present the questions far outweigh the answers. The fact it was all being done on the QT and Waggot was clearly rattled about it leaking adds weight to suspicion. Not sure if you were around in the height of the Kean/Anderson/Kentaro/SEM/Cresendo/Sella/Shagnew and god knows who else involved ? If not then maybe you don't quite know why the majority on here are like they are. Basically the Venky era has foisted on us a question first listen second agenda, with good reason. Things had sobered up a bit in recent years thanks to Mowbrays steady hand. Sadly though every time the surface is scratched this is what will come out. There are plants around particularly on facebook and LT one or two have been flushed out. I guess if you stick around and stick to your guns eventually everyone knows you just have a different viewpoint. Those who only come on just to flog the Mowbray line but disappear in every losing run will remain under fire i'm afraid. Ironically though this recent row has been kicked off by someone who's one of the V's, clubs and mangers biggest critics. Trying to say that a long standing poster, one who both praises and critics as he sees fit and always has done, is indeed a 'plant'. It works both ways nobody is immune.
  19. There's a marked difference between having a minority view and just being contrarian for the sake of it though. One will get tolerated by most but probably heartily and maybe even aggressively disagreed with, the other will get the replies it warrants.
  20. I'm sorry i hate to say it but that is straight out of Keans book of self preservation. Insulting to be honest.
  21. Yep the first thing any plant would do would be to throw grenades and seek to divide.
  22. Only a few games ago it was the pitch to blame for why we couldn't play our football style properly and create chances. Now on the very same pitch we've somehow managed to play our football but not create chances. Players aren't good enough now apparently, if we'd lost that one nil it would've been the pitch again. Another two sides have been and taken 4 points from Ewood in the space of a few days, yet in his eyes we are still doing ok. He's operating in a world of delusion only this club in this era would tolerate.
  23. I just didn't think there was any point to it this season at all because he'd hardly get used. Just a complete waste of a wage, i know his experience might be useful to have around but does he even train every day now at his age ? Seeing as we were still short in areas and so called watching the pennies that money should have gone elsewhere. As should one of the keeper wages, we needed good back up for years and didn't get it. Then they bring in 3 at once !!!
