  1. That's how the narrative from him follows as well and that's another predictable path. Top 6 don't want to be sitting in midtable blah blah Building a team slowly in with a shout of top 6 Not quite there yet but i know what we need We've finished 10th it's marginal gains we can't compete with top 6 yet, hopefully backing in the window to bring in ready made players to improve the first 11 Iv'e been looking all along to bring in good back up to push what we already have to make us better, don't want to be midtable top 6 is the aim. Blah blah
  2. Then he should be regaining his concentration levels and focus on the bench.
  3. Agree with much of it most of my moaning has been because of the timid Bowyeresqe nature of this managers approach too often. Said many times all i wanted to see was us genuinely having a go over the season i feel he's on the right track in that regard. I'd much rather this approach than drawing every week and hear a manager jacking off on the old unbeaten run line. It'll have its ups and downs like we are seeing, elated one min tearing your hair out next but to me that's what football is about. Mundane crap can be shoved where the sun doesn't shine ! Problem with TM is he's never ever shown himself to be someone who can find balance, any balance never mind the the right one. It's wearing thin now he's had god knows how many windows and enough backing to see us looking to break upwards from the middle pack. His repeated blind spots and stubborness in regards to certain players will be the undoing again imo but we'll see. He's been good at proving us wrong when we've thought all is lost but just not good enough in proving he's the man for the ultimate goal.
  4. Is covid the new out with a 'knock' ? The type that sees a bandage change knees at half time. Ryan Nyambe sneezed in training so i left him out for JRC type thing, i do wonder knowing how football bullshit works.
  5. A decade in football is a lifetime and the elements he had then are way different to now, as is the difference between elite quality in Philips and bog standard in Armo. Means feck all now any of that pal, sorry.
  6. Can't really judge Pears on last night other than to say he looks nowhere near ready, ex Boro though so he'll be automatic shoe in now for 2nd choice. Worrying but in no way surprising.
  7. Touched on it the other day how with our set up now we'll take a pounding now and again inbetween pounding some teams ourselves. Very much goes with the turf and when we set up more defensive and possession based we tend to create absolutely nothing then lose by the odd goal or draw. Between a rock and a hard place at the min but i still think there is just too much chopping and changing around that we never find balance. Bottom line is still the defenders aren't good enough week in week out it's just a fact you need real quality to play quality winning football. Otherwise you need a well oiled machine that does the basics well together week in week out. Either way here it's bang on course another average midtable points return.
  8. No chance it's just another shoulder shrug. He's on the best number in the Championship.
  9. A comparison I've been drawing since TM first rocked up. He's the B Tec version ( as the kids say ) of Roy.
  10. Basically you want to change back every change the gaffer made before this game. There's a moral somewhere in that story.
  11. We've spent how much on the infrastructure ? Drones, scouts and all the rest. Tbh i don't buy Mowbray doesn't do his homework quite the opposite. Goes a bit over board and ends up in a muddle changes things for the sake of it. From their point of view it's simple, oh Evans is playing so he'll sit back and there'll be space in front of him to graze 50 cattle we'll attack that. And he's chucked the young lad in at RB again so we'll target that area as well.
  12. Lads having a bad spell it happens and constant changing of personal next to him, in front of him and in the sticks enforced AND unenforced won't have helped. Needs a break imo, he's looking like the raw converted mid again he did years ago.
  13. We know how it goes and no doubt we can look forwards to pasting someone again soon then he'll be back to messiah status. I just wish some of those who automatically yell we are going to be a top 2 team every time he makes a couple of solid additions finally wake up and realize the hamster wheel we are stuck on. This boys, girls and club sycophants is not top 6 material it'll pan out like it always does, middle of the road. And it isn't down to budgets 70% of the time.
  14. Old man, busted flush, not in bit Tony's league etc etc A bit like Houghton ?
  15. Lenihen seems to have been found out now at this level but why in gods name do you #### about with a team thats just won 4 nil away. Always always unforced changes and unnecessary tactical tweaks. Flat track bullies when we are stronger overal than the opposition, toothless or total wank when against any outfit with tactical management and a bit of similar quality on the park. Mid table forever.
  16. Absolutely nailed on that tonight and it isn't just one of those days we've had several of those already this season. It's a shitshow.
  17. We didn't end up 1-3 behind because they were so much better than us.
  18. He's just got carried away with his own hype again has the manager. Thinking he's sprinkling his stardust on something that didn't need it.
  19. Two words RYAN NYAMBIE A defender who can defend but gets left out because he can't cross at the other end. Only in Rovers world does this make sense.
  20. If we go behind you usually worry but straight back in it means they are up for it tonight.
  21. She owes me after I sat through Strictly last night ?
  22. Ashamed to say i think i'll give it one go if i can get the remote, just for curiosity obviously.
  23. Can see this one following the path of Cardiff/Forest so it's likely we'll have to grind something out and that'll mean another clean sheet is vital. Playing away though is suiting us better at the moment which kind of banishes the ewood crowd myth some peddle. Probably a 1- 1 .
