  1. We lost a great player in Newton, but how was it a major problem for the team losing the right-back ?
  2. I remember him leaving, It wasn't a major blow to the team, as the rest of the team did not live up to his standard. One exceptional player at right-back will not have enough influence on the whole team. An influential player in the spine of the team may have that effect ( Adam Wharton being a prime example ).
  3. I cannot remember an occasion when a team losing a right-back has been a major blow.
  4. It's the only place, and still a fair old walk to the ground.
  5. It must be time for a complaint to the EFL. Perhaps via Blackburns MP.
  6. My thought from yesterdays game : Both teams started the game with a similar plan A, NEC were better at it than us and controlled most of the first half. Second half we try plan B and it works, we get ourselves back into the game, in fact we probably should have got level. Then for some inexplicable reason we reverted to plan A, but with plan B players. The inevitable outcome was that NEC took back control of the game. Anyway it was only a friendly, bring on the Baggies.
  7. Kargbo and Gueye will make a good plan B. Hopefully we can hone the plan A.
  8. The question was about Toths performance, not our outfield players.
  9. Toth didn't make mistakes, yet NEC could/should have scored six.
  10. It was piss poor defending, no attempt at a tackle, just lets the attacker turn inside, then grabs the player. What the fuck do they do at training sessions ?
  11. Duru getting closer to starting at right-back.
  12. Perhaps waiting for the minutes is part of Gestedes exciting summer ?
  13. For me, having a plan B is a means of changing the way a team is playing, during a game that isn't going your way. Gueye is ideal for this. It does not mean that Gueye is a replacement for Yuki if he is not available. What we need is a similar player to Yuki for when Yuki is not available, and keep Gueye for the plan B tactic. Ideally we get a better player than Yuki, and Yuki becomes the back-up, with Gueye the plan B ( I doubt very much that the last bit will happen ).
  14. Didn't Alf Ramsey say something similar to Jack Charlton ?
  15. I'm surprised that more teams don't try it from the kick-offs.
  16. I am in the same situation.
  17. The first line is probably due to, not as many junior tickets sold to adults as last season.
  18. Sounds similar to Batty on the other side
  19. What are your thoughts of Duru ?
