  1. We need to strengthen in other departments more urgently, than at central defender. I loved Van Hecke when he was here, but I don't think now is the right time for him at the Rovers
  2. It was more a comment that it has taken 33 years rather than the quality of the kit.
  3. I see from the official site, that the 1988/89 restock has arrived.
  4. Markanday is another player who I have seen quite a few times for the U21s. At the moment he is nowhere near a first team player. He is being played wide where his main attribute ( a good shot ) is being wasted. He has shown nothing to prove he has the ability to play wide. Personally I would partner him down the middle with someone decent in the air.
  5. From a Southampton point of view, it was.
  6. I doubt very much if Hirst will get a few first team games.
  7. I have seen him play for the U21s. I am making my judgement on what I have seen. It is nothing to do with fitness. You see Hirst sprint quickly towards the ball, then pull up just before a tackle. He has done this consistantly.
  8. The whole point of a rough diamond, is that there is a risk it will not turn out for the best. So getting Hirst on a loan to have a look at him, could have been a shrewed move. I would only call Broughton's judgement into question if he were to buy Hirst on a permanent, after his loan period.
  9. Have you seen Hirst play. He is shit scared of going in for a challenge for some reason. I have never before seen a player who pulls out of as many tackles.
  10. With the emphasis being on option. We can just send him back. From what I have seen, that would be the best option for the Rovers. Hirst may turn out to be a decent player in the future, but the Rovers need players to win games now, not in the future.
  11. I thought Hirst was a loan ?
  12. To tell the truth, I don't think any of the players you mentioned, are worthy of a place, never mind all of them.
  13. I don't understand your point. Could you explain ?
  14. I'm not bothered how many are there as long as the Rovers win.
  15. The bundle was for three games at Ewood, as the game is now at Leyland, which is run by Lancashire FA, not the Rovers. And there is no facility at Leyland to read the codes on the tickets. Are the tickets still valid
  16. That is what scouts are for. Posters are not suggesting individuals, just a generic type of player. Scotland used to be a favoured hunting ground for such players. They may still be there, just not in the numbers that used to be produced.
  17. For the U21s Mola has been strong when playing either left fullback, or left wing back. He has shown aggresion and a good aerial ability. Hirst has shown nothing for the U21s. That is why I rate Mola with a better chance of making the first team than Hirst. At no point have I said that Mola should be playing for the first team, just that he has moe potential than Hirst. If as you say, you would love to see this. I suggest you get yourself down to the U21s.
  18. Has there been an update on the ticket situation for the Celtic game, for those who bought the three game bundle ?
  19. It was exactly like that. I'll tell you what it wasn't like, any form of car manufacture.
  20. In other words the same players, except with a smattering of players who were not good enough for the first team. The reserves weren't nicknamed the "stiffs" for nothing.
  21. On the contrary, we have too many players like that.
  22. And a stubborn dolloper at that, (remind you of anyone ?).
  23. No matter what the league is called, it would still be the same players playing in it.
  24. Mola has more potential to play for the first team than Hirst.
  25. It's a good time for a Rovers win (hic).
