  1. I don't remember that, I can't remember it happening too many times in the last 50 years, but that may just be my memory. My original post was a quip. Not really a topic for in-depth discussion.
  2. My main question would be: Is he a leader ?
  3. No, because if you are away the first game, you are always home the last. Same if you are home on boxing day, you are away on new years day.
  4. Another parameter is the quality of player that we can afford to sign, on our budget, whatever that is.
  5. 50/50 chance of being right.
  6. Pratt has signed a two year deal. He has impressed me as a no frills center-half. He heads the ball away, gives it some wellie when it is needed, and chucks in a tackle. Not much in the way of finesse, but that can be forgiven in a young center-half. Saadi signed a two year deal. He is the polar opposit of Pratt.
  7. He looked at ease playing for the U23's, good enough at that level, let's hope he makes the step-up to first team squad.
  8. My comment was a skit of a comment made by Mowbray last season.
  9. And a realist. I still prefer real life, to TV !
  10. I'm sorry , but who is Jack Bauer ?
  11. If so, you are not planning for promotion.
  12. I am not saying this is true, but instead of watching pre season beasting of players, he may be talking to Nyambe about a new contract. I would prefer the latter option.
  13. The start of pre-season training, is all about beasting the players, to get fitness levels up. Even Lowe should be able to do that.
  14. Personnally I don't give a damn who sponsors us.
  15. I always have done, even when manchester and liverpool were classed as Lancashire
  16. The thing is, I would like quick results, as I may not be around long enough to see a slow improvement.
  17. You might get a few season ticket holders moving from the Riverside to other parts, as the Riverside is no longer cheaper than anywhere else.
