v WBA (a) - Valentine’s Day 💙🤍

In my opinion, no he hasn't, I would say he has been adequate. 50% of a wing-backs role is attacking end product. Nyambe is not the best at that. -

Nyambe has been at right wing-back because nobody else was available. Nyambe is a full-back, not a wing-back. -

Because Zeefuik is more of a wing-back than Nyambe. The team quoted is set up with wing-backs, ergo Zeefuik should start. -

Our excellent season has been mainly down to the way we have defended, but the Swansea goal yesterday was criminal. With 3 centerhalves playing, how is the only attacker in the box allowed a free header. Anyway, we are still second, so bring on Forest. -

I notice in his post match interview Mowbray is blaming the players for not changing their method of play when faced with a packed defence. I thought that getting instructions out-to the pitch, about changing play to individual players, would be part of the managers job. I also could not understand why Diaz was on the bench. Surely if there is a doubt about his ability to last a full game, you start off with Diaz playing, then replace him if/when it is required. -
Yes, bottom 2. Although if you look at the table on the Rovers site, the dotted line shows the bottom three going down. The Rovers site can't seem to get anything right.

It could have been double figures had it not been for their keeper pulling off a string of good saves. Wharton for the second match in a row had a quiet game. Sam Durrant had a good game. some of the passing moves were a joy to see. Lets hope the first team play the same tomorrow.

Easthams distribution tonight was fantastic

It depends on the players attitude. Some are money driven, others are driven by playing at the highest level they can. We shall see in the future into which camp Phillips falls.

To keep him the management have to sell the club to him. It needs to be pointed out to him, that he has a better chance of getting first team football at the Rovers than at any other club. Perhaps get Markanday to tell him why he left Spurs for us.

The best way to keep team selections unknown, is to say nothing. -

Over his time with the Rovers, I would say that he has mislead the fans with some of his media statements. -

I don't see how the travelling would particularly tire Diaz. I bet he didn't travel cattle class. -

I don't give a shit what other managers say. But yes it does rile me when the Rovers manager misleads the fans. I would prefer it, if he said nothing, and just referred us, to our league position. -

So your first sentence says he isn't truthful, your second says that he is. My take on it is that I don't believe what he says at any point. -

Greenwood would be a loss of millions, Goodwillie not so much. Greed will play a part in Greenwoods footballing future. -

Diaz. On your other point about Mowbrays comments. Mowbrays biggest fault has always been the bollocks he speaks to the media. -
I seem to remember Parkes scoring a cracker in my first away game, against Oldham. Early seventies.

I am also looking forward to a few beers before the game watching the rugby. -
The main difference between the U23s and the first team, is physicality, or as a lot of people say, the difference between a boys and a mans game. The skills and abilities are already in the players, and will be evident no matter who the opposition is.

BRFC - The Nostalgia Thread
rigger replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was. What was more frightening, was a game in the 76/77 season. After the game walking the streets of Bermondsey, trying to find the underground station. Later in life I lived in Essex, and got to know a few Millwall lads. I actually won a raffle at the new den, when we beat them in the cup (0-1 Andy Cole) -
