  1. The most telling part of your statement is, The job Mowbray has DONE. Not the job he is doing or the job he is going to do. If swag does not influence managerial decisions, what does he do for his salary?
  2. It will probably be OK on fish and chips.
  3. The problem is Total Football didn't win much.
  4. The one advantage of Johnson is with his shooting, he can be a danger from longer range.
  5. You have used the word planned. Not a word that I associate with Mowbrays Rovers.
  6. Perhaps people start believing their own bullshit when their job is under no pressure ?
  7. But anyone who has seen the performances will know and understand why he would try to sign a left back. Even the two players in question who are trying to play in that position
  8. I think you may be wrong about the gates not dropping. The official attendances may not have dropped, but I would suggest that the number of people who are actually on the ground has dropped. The hardcore as you call it, will and is dwindling, due to ageing, health, and financial issues. But this is only my opinion, no proof.
  9. Serves you right, by now you should know Mowbray has lost it. COYB, give Stoke a stuffing.
  10. Or Mowbray is just delusional
  11. Did you really think you would get a full I-follow half season pass for £70 ?
  12. If we remain mid table championship, playing the way we are, you may see official figures of 10-14K, but I bet the actual attendances will be a lot less.
  13. Maybe I am too picky. I was not happy with the Allardyce style, and I am not happy with the Mowbray style. Am I wanting another change, yes. Will I be happy with who is appointed, probably not, but I would be satisfied with giving it a go.
  14. he is our only "attacking right back". He is not our best left-back (Thompson ). He is just one that Mowbray seems to like in the team. I can at times see that an attacking player pushed further up field against certain teams would be a good, plan B. Plan A should always be start with your strongest defenders, in defence.
  15. If they do call your bluff, I would come along as an assistant also for gratis.
  16. Again payment for the work could be in the form of a season ticket for next season. There will be plenty left over.
  17. I will stand by my statement that the result six games ago has no physical bearing on tomorrows game. The performance of the players tomorrow will decide the outcome.
  18. That has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on tomorrows game.
  19. That could apply to quite a few fans as well.
  20. Well it hasn't worked so far. You start by, if you have to give away free-kicks, give them away in less dangerous areas. If the opposition get the ball have someone challenging immediately, not backing off to let the opponents into a dangerous area (last week for example). I don't think Johnson is the man for that. Secondly if you have to defend a dead ball into the box, every player should know what he is meant to be doing(that is what training is for). It might not work all the time, but it will for most occasions.
  21. For me I would have Davenport over Johnson. I think we should set our team up, and let them worry about it. Not pick a team to negate their strengths. That is what subs are for.
  22. I agree about Rothwell. What is your thinking with Johnson ?
  23. I think that everyone bar Mowbray is in agreement on that.
