  1. The original point was that Chapman was signed because he was cheap and might increase in value in the future. My point was that a good manager would sign a player on the hope that he improves the playing team, not the owners bank account. We obviously don't agree on this point, so lets just leave it at that. I don't want to get into a tit-for-tat argument.
  2. Welcome, I hope you are wrong as well.
  3. I wonder if they were earning megabucks?
  4. Just one of many basic principals. The more of these principals you use, usually the more successful a manager you become
  5. A good manager should sign only the players he wants to use to improve his teams. Not sign financial gambles.
  6. I think that happens in most towns.
  7. With Mowbray still here, I couldn't give a toss.
  8. Is anybody going to buy the Birmingham game?
  9. At least we have got Gally to play on the wing. Why play someone in their correct position, when you can force someone to play there.
  10. Has Mowbray left? If not this is a bit of a pointless topic.
  11. The problem is: It is the real world. What isn't, is thinking it will miraculously change.
  12. If Nyambe doesn't make it, play the U23's right-back. I know this is not a preferred answer, but needs must. Let's stop feeling sorry for ourselves and try to instil some spirit into the team.
  13. Doesn't mean he is not fit for Saturday.
  14. Nyambe, Johnson, Lenihan, Downing.
  15. I'll tell you what would be worse. Doing nothing.
  16. When wearing the shirt involved pride
  17. Unless it is helping him out of the door
  18. you move Johnson into a back three with Ayala, and Lenihan. Push Bell and Buckley up the pitch. This would be what is called a plan B. At the time we where 1 nil down, so what's to loose?
  19. I could understand the Buckley substitution if he was going to swap to a back three, and push the full-backs forward. But he just carried on with a back four, with Buckley totally out of position.
  20. There was a quote on one of the threads about crowds dropping down to 7/8000. With Mowbray still here, we will be lucky if the crowds go up to 7/8000
  21. At least there is still the FA cup.
