You could have the most commanding keeper in the world he will only add too a defence. If the defenders in front of him are not good enough he will ultimately fail.

What I was trying to say was that, the experienced players we need are ones that are going to do something in the future, as well as bask in what they have done in the past.

I don’t get all the excitement about signing ex or aged players. All they bring are memories. We want players who bring a future.

I can assure you that trouble happened at those games. It wasn't massive scraps between big gangs, but as fans crossed over fists flew, coppers got involved and arrests where made.

Shrewsbury, Southend, Oldham, Doncaster all games where trouble occurred.

Personally I think it's the other way round if you have a solid defence you can usually carry a keeper who makes mistakes. If you have a poor defence, the best keeper in the world will have that much to do that they will make mistakes.

One of the main problems was that the Rovers fans had to cross with any away fans after the match, this led to quite a few scuffles. If the Rovers fans had been on the Jack Walker side of the Darwen end, and the away fans on the riverside, side, the problem would have been avoided.

but it never really took off. I used to go in there, I did not find it a big problem to transfer to the Blackburn end. If you want your own section just gather in one area and claim it for yourselves ( I would still suggest on the Blackburn end would be best). Try to get some competition going between other areas. That is how home atmosphere is usually created.
