Pre injury I would have said the he was a young player with huge potential. Big, strong and can play in a number of positions. My fear, as with any player coming back from a serious injury is how it has affected him. Hopefully he will get an opportunity in pre season to prove himself to the new man and we see him in and around the first team squad.

And the likes of Waggott will have a freebie too who is ironic when you consider how much we pay and the relative salaries of the vast majority and him. He will get comps for away games too.

New Head of Marketing
arbitro replied to Paul Mellelieu's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Another great idea from a club below us. Clearing out old stock whilst bringing money in. *Not strictly marketing but the nearest to it I can find. -
I was aware of that Ian and made reference to that in my conversation with Waggott saying it looks like he doesn't want Hull to get in trouble as a previous employee by telling me to move on. Interestingly the patronising email he sent was on January 11th and he ignored two subsequent emails I sent to him. I then contacted Waggott direct on January 21st and he called me back the same day. I was sent an email on May 9th by Christina Haines with the final EFL response regarding the matter. This was almost four months after Fielder said Whilst this has been a frustrating sequence of events for all – including the club as we have missed out on vital TV revenue – we have resigned ourselves to the fact there is very little we can do but to move on and now look forward to playing the game on Wednesday 19th January.

Fielder intercepted an email I sent to Waggott about the circumstances surrounding the Hull postponement and was patronising and condescending to say the least in his reply. I complained about his response and in fairness got a call from Waggott who said he would take him to task about his response.

I desperately hope he is never involved in our club again. Despite his God awful record I can't ever forgive or forget his 'get real' comments when having a go at us whilst backing Kean.

I was down around 10.30 today and there were several people in the shop but a few of them were just buying merchandise. I will be amazed if we get anywhere near last seasons paltry amount.

Succinct and to the point. Rovers are driving long standing, loyal supporters away with the amateur way in which they are run. I am renewing today more out of loyalty to my brothers than loyalty to Rovers.
-
I have just seen that Stanley have sold over a thousand season tickets. Two things. A. I wonder how this stacks up against ours? B. I wonder how many of these are former Rovers season ticket holders pissed off with the pantomime we have become? Answers to swaggott@rovers.co.uk

Thanks mate. Again it beggars belief that nobody has corrected this error.

Absolute sheer incompetence. Honestly it makes you wonder if following this club is worth it. You couldn't make it up - they announce a deadline day and then say they are closed on that day.I

I'm in the same position. I'm so frustrated at the way the club is run by incompetents, absent owners whose silence and disrespect is hurtful but after chatting to my brothers we decided to renew as we go to the games together and it's the main thing we do together. And in truth if it wasn't for that we almost certainty wouldn't be renewing.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
arbitro replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Under normal circumstances and primarily with Lenihan going I wouldn't want to sell another centre half but given his wages (rumoured to be in the top three earners) and awful injury record I would sell him. We just can't rely on him to stay injury free. -
The here and now for some is the managerial appointment. The right appointment could be the boost you allude to but the wrong one could see us returning to mid 80's sales. But the absolutely most galling thing is the powers that aren't aware of this or simply don't give a stuff.

Sorry we made a bit of a mistake tear gassing all them Liverpool fans........ https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12630639/champions-league-final-paris-police-chief-didier-lallement-apologises-for-tear-gassing-liverpool-fans

I know quite a few season ticket holders who are holding back should there be another Coyle style appointment. A couple have said they have written to the club telling them this. Surely somebody down there should have the gumption to realise this and at the very least extend the deadline until a few days after an appointment. It could be a tipping point for an already hugely depleted can base.

None of us know the figures involved despite many assertions and assumptions. From what I heard Rovers didn't try particularly hard and negotiations pretty much stalled from the first offer and I have a vague recollection of Lenihan saying he wanted to stay. In fact somebody on here posted that Waggott told him he thought Lenihan would stay.
