  1. I was thinking the same. Reading lots of opinions up and down the country it's almost for some that it will be a given that crowds are back next season. It's difficult for the 'experts' to see into the future but clubs are offering different kinds of incentives, natively in my view.
  2. That is the kind of thinking that Waggott should've doing. Instead we had the announcement before the restart that there was no recompense for missing games, only the offer of iFollow. This was followed by weeks and weeks of silence and then the announcement that season tickets were going up by hugely disproportionate levels and, in many cases pretty much out of supporters reach in such uncertain times. And both announcements paid scant reference to the possible individual plight of supporters instead pleading poverty and, annoyingly, trying to put supporters on some kind of guilt trip. Shambolic management. Your idea of supporters having some collective say in the happenings at Ewood really appeals to me and I would certainly consider this but the realist in me knows this is highly unlikely to happen. There are too many at Ewood and in India who don't want their boats rocking by us plebs.
  3. And to put a price increase on and sell something that doesn't exist is complete madness.
  4. There was a ex senior cop who headed up the EFL security department, was Blackburn born and bred and a keen Roverite to boot. When he was at a game I was refereeing he would always make time for a brew together and lots of Rovers talk.
  5. The National League's Chief Exec, Michael Tattersall is actually a Rovers fan. ??
  6. There are a few getting giddy here. Whilst the football has been good (and long may it last) to say that it's the best football is hugely stretching it. As many have said parts of the Souness era was terrific from a football point of view but for me the Jim Smith team with Waggy, Taylor, Bailey and Hird was the most exciting, attacking play I have seen. There was so much attacking intent and natural width in them four encouraged by a like minded manager.
  7. Another one bites the dust. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/36067/12085366/macclesfield-town-expelled-from-national-league I have some fond memories of Macclesfield and as a regular visitor there got to know some of the staff behind the scenes. They were always friendly, hospitable and accommodating. They have gone bust for what Pogba earns in a week.
  8. I harbour some hope Andy that one day they will. I still believe though that the skeletons in the closets at Ewood are currently outnumbering season ticket holders.

  10. A criminal going to Australia, who wudda thowt it. ????
  11. I don't want him to come back but it would be almost worth it to see Vinjays reaction. ????
  12. I think you wrote the post in the Greek language. ????.
  13. As soon as I saw Bill Fox I expected him to say "You're a big man but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself". ???
  14. They were interested in January according to many reports. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/latest-blades-news/sheffield-united-again-linked-talented-championship-defensive-duo-1355351
  15. Wilder looking for a centre half and is a known admirer of Lenihan. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11683/12083649/chris-wilder-targets-defensive-signing-with-jack-oconnell-set-for-surgery
  16. For Holtby's sake then I hope nothing happens to him.?
  17. The system we are playing hugely suits the players we have and their attributes. Holtby was the fulcrum today and showed what an asset he can be. Wrap him in cotton wool between games if needed but keep him fit. The high press starts from the back with a keeper who is happy to be well in advance of his penalty area allowing the rest of the team to be higher up the pitch. Dolan is so talented and looks like he can go all the way but will need nursing along at times. Nine goals and two clean sheets is beyond our wildest dreams and Mowbray has to temper the renewed expectations over the next few days.
  18. I agree something just isn't sitting right with this story. Mowbray was pretty fulsome in his praise of Nyambe only two weeks ago and was dropped after another decent performance against Newcastle. I can't see him having refused a new deal as, according to reports, they have only just recently started discussing it. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-nyambe-mowbray-contract-18955676
  19. Mowbray left him out last week and one of the reasons was that his 'numbers were high' in the previous two games. My take on that is the Nyambe worked too hard which is exactly what I would be demanding from every player if I was the boss. So after a week with no game Nyambe is still left out. There will inevitably be speculation as to why he isn't playing - personally I just don't think Mowbray rates him too much. As I said last week it's almost like Mowbray is giving him and his advisors a good reason not to sign a new deal (if they even offer him one).
  20. With today's announcement I agree that we won't sell many more. The announcement gives Waggott the perfect excuse when explaining to his lords and masters why the figure is embarrassingly low.
  21. What is the situation with your season tickets regarding prices and current sales?
