I really feel that the iFollow offer is just a lazy regurgitation of the offer they made for the last nine games last season. Making an assumption that we will not be allowed into games until the end of November (quite feasible given the local situation) that would be £140 lost for anyone who, for whatever reason, doesn't use iFollow. The reasons for not going are varied and personal with every individual absolutely justified in their own decision. My elder brother rang me last night to say he wasn't bothering. He cited the unjustified price hike but also the issue of actually getting to the ground. We normally catch a bus, one of several run from various pubs in the locality but these will not be running. The closest we could park is Lower Darwen and with our aging, dodgy knees walking would be an inconvenience. I understand this is something that Rovers can't control but the ridiculous access and egress around Ewood on match days is more of a deterrent. I would imagine a lot of the regulars who use the bus service just won't bother.

He has so much that you just can't coach but it can be coached out of him. Hopefully Mowbray and his staff focus on these rather than stifling them.

Who knows what is in the budget Stuart. The issue for me is that of what we currently have nobody can do what Travis does. On form he is pretty much the heartbeat of the team.

When Cunningham did his cruciate at QPR he went back on after treatment when clearly he had sustained something serious. I'm no medic but surely the physio or doctor should be insisting he comes off.

If Travis is out for any length of time it's a huge blow not quite of Dack proportions but close. Such a stupid challenge he threw himself into when he didn't need to. Mowbray has to replace him with like for like otherwise it's Johnson and Evans doing the dirty stuff for us.

It would be interesting to see the uptake of the iFollow offer of last season to see how many season ticket holders didn't use it for whatever reason. In that instance the club already had the money and as such had the ace cards. This latest offering is effectively giving an option of not paying up front for iFollow which I think may be the way a lot will go until such times as we are allowed in without too many constraints or people feel safe.

Season tickets went up by around 18% the season before last. This season it's another 18% so my season ticket is now costing me around £109 more than two seasons ago. I'd love to know if anybody has had a pay rise in line with those increases in that time frame. I genuinely think we are expected to pay for the poor management of the club and penalised unfairly because of the current pandemic.

Why would season tickets have gone up, particularly by such a big amount? Inflation is running at 1.5% this year. If any other business tries to impose such an increase on their customers then they simply won't buy from them. Waggott talks about Covid like it has only had an affect on football and that shows me how far he is removed from reality.

It's almost the anniversary of a decade of Venkys at our club. The decade of decay will be complete with this announcement as I believe some ardent, long standing supporters will turn their backs on something that is ingrained into the fabric of their (and in many cases their families) lives. That's some legacy.

This could be the biggest own goal since the1960 Cup Final fiasco. A significant price increase (after an 18% increase the season before last) with no guarantees of when you can access the stadium with some predictions of next year being the earliest. And if the ground capacity is over subscribed there will be a ballot with priority given to supporters who purchased 'premium seats'. So much for 'We are Together'. I originally thought we would struggle to shift 5000 given the circumstances, I have revised that to 3500 now. Fuck you Waggott.

I have replied to Waggott and mentioned the expensively unnecessary contracts and also the Mulgrew situation. My closing comment to him was that he is doing reflects badly on Rovers and himself.

I just heard something posted through my letter box and there is a flyer from a cleaning company offering their services. Their name is OCD Cleaning Solutions. That alone should guarantee them plenty of work ???. It's true btw.

That is the truth Matty. In what will be a real challenge shifting tickets Waggott has just made his job a lot more difficult. This link could be a bit tenuous but I heard he is considering retiring at the end of the season - maybe he just doesn't give a flying fart now.

I have sent a response back. I haven't mentioned it anywhere else to be honest. And having seen Waggotts response today makes me think that bringing it up anywhere else will be futile. Did you get anything back for your request for a refund for the recent game where you paid but couldn't view it?

It isn't and never was about money for me. It was anger at being taken for granted with Waggott (or whoever) not having a clue about my (or anybody's) personal circumstances. The tone of the original communication was what really angered me.

But Waggott has now out rightly dismissed any refunds at any time.

It has never been my intention to take it further that contacting them for a response and some form of action from them. What prompted it was the original communication which, in my view attempted to put season ticket holders without access to iFollow on some kind of guilt trip as if football was the only sufferer in the pandemic.

From memory three didn't with us and Preston two of them. To be clear it was some form of recompense the majority were offering in terms of discounts etc. In my original contact email to them my request was for similar.

After chasing up my request for recompense after not taking up the iFollow offer I got the following earlier signed by Waggott. I have responded to this. The Club is doing everything possible to ensure we survive the unique challenges of Covid19 and the absence of any income over the last six months. As such, we are not in a position to offer any cash refunds for games played behind closed doors last season. The provision of live streaming of the nine games in question was the best available solution in the circumstances and has been regarded as a reasonable alternative by supporters of the Club. Nothing about the current situation is ideal and we acknowledge everyone is doing their utmost to navigate through to a return to normality when we can welcome fans back to the stadium.

I really don't understand what role Venus has at Rovers. I know his job title and perhaps what he should do but his involvement on match days seems negligible. Yesterday Tindall was in constant dialogue with his coaching staff (I noticed he has got Graeme Jones there) whilst the game was in progress. Mowbray, Venus and Lowe didn't speak to each other at all when they were in view, in fact Mowbray spent more time sat down than in any other game I can remember. It just has an odd feel to it at the moment.

Your highlighted comment is the most pertinent of all in the Raya debate and kind of sums up Mowbrays sometimes ad hoc approach. Raya had mistakes in him for sure but to sign a replacement (who wasn't in the frame when Raya was sold) who was probably worse is poor on Mowbrays part.

Some good stuff to be upbeat about today, particularly Holtby, Johnson and Dolan. A draw would have been a fair result and to lose is something of a travesty but the manner of the goals we conceded leaves me worried once again. Scoring two away from home should be enough to secure at least a point but over the last few years clean sheets have been too rare for me. The new keeper looked fine and I liked the way he wasn't afraid to come out of the penalty area to cover the defence. The much maligned Williams was better than Lenihan today who I thought was poor. Likewise Bell did some good things and some poor things. Nyambe looked like has generally looked for too long - short of confidence in the final third. The number of times he could have gone one on one with their left back and didn't was annoying. He could power past most people in them situations but frustratingly just doesn't. Johnson did well but Travis still looks a yard short at times. Brereton just doesn't have it for me and Armstrong troubled them with his movement and pace. Mowbray should be aware of our propensity to give away cheap goals but this has been going on for most of his tenure. I'm sure he wants to fix this, I genuinely doubt whether he and his staff have the wherewithal to do it.

Too true. Under circumstances the three biggest days of a season for me are opening fixture, Boxing Day and FA Cup third round day. This diluted version of such an important aspect of our lives just doesn't get anywhere near cutting it for me.
