I agree. To me he has always flattered to deceive and never been consistent. I remember him making a World Cup squad as a Liverpool players and in the season had no goals and no assists. It's another lazy signing who will be on big money. Disappointed.

As the customer Rovers should be giving them a delivery date with penalty clauses if it's not met. I worked in purchasing for 25 years and the suppliers I dealt with agreed in writing to delivery schedules. Any variance from these without good cause invariably meant no more orders.

I completely missed that the deadline for loans is the same for permanent signings. I think the loan pool will be a lot smaller this time as most PL clubs will be on tour or playing tournaments and will probably want to run the rule over their youngsters. And perhaps the biggest source of loans will be reluctant to send any to us after Palmer didn't get too much game time before he was sent back.

You saved me a copy and paste job?. What hope is there for the future when the manager comes out with that particularly about selling players on. I'm beginning to think the India trip was a one sided affair with Mowbray being told what his brief is. We won't get an loans from PL clubs until after the transfer window because they will be away with their clubs. I'm getting a bit fed up with the whole situation.

Phil Jones To Leave Utd - Sell On Clause?
arbitro replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Travis started at Bramhall Lane on Dec 28th after Evans was rested following the Boxing Day game at Leeds and Travis wasn't even on the bench. Smallwood got himself sent off at Sheffield and got three games. Travis played against West Bromwich on New Years Day, had a blinder and pretty much became a fixture in the team. I don't think he would have become a regular if Smallwood hadn't got himself sent off. -
We're on the same train and paid £34 each with senior railcards. We are back on the 18.37.

Championship season 2019-20

It's amazing that within no time at all of the fixtures being announced Sky already have Class of '92 FC on their first live game. Interestingly the TV deal is for 20 League One and Two games to be broadcast live. I wonder how many of these will be used up on Class of '92. -
Which flies in the face of the perverse rationale to play local derbies at weekends and long, arduous away matches in midweek to maximise income. It seems like they make it up sometimes.

There is absolutely no evidence that the money would be spent on strengthening the team. Historically it's quite the opposite where any big incoming fees haven't been used to strengthen. I have zero confidence that they would give Mowbray that kind of money.

Swansea away on Wednesday 11th December and Bristol City away three days later. Thanks to the EFL once again.

It'd be nice to meet up Andy but could I understand your Darren/Jock hybrid accent ?. -

I am Andy. I will be on the train and planning to meet up with Ian Cardoo's cousin who is an avid Rangers fan and runs a supporters club. Will you be there Andy? -
But Mowbray took great delight in telling us he had money left over from the last two windows. If the budget is similar to last seasons does it include the money he didn't spend? If it does then the budget is lower, if it doesn't then it's higher.

And that for me is were the waters are muddied. Last year, to quote Risdale we 'blew Preston out of the water' with what we offered Armstrong and less than a year on they are reputedly paying more in wages. It's not just missing out on Bauer that bothers me in particular. I trying to see the bigger picture and my hunch is that Mowbray didn't get anything like he hoped for from his recent soiree to India. The next few weeks will be telling and could well shape up the mid term future of our club.
-
As Bauer was out of contract we could have spoken to him or his representatives from January. We could even have signed a pre contract agreement with him.

Fútbol, Le Foot, Voetbal, ποδόσφαιρο

I didn't see any of them but the VAR will have decided there has been a clear and obvious error. Football with VAR is in real danger of becoming too sterile with no body contact. I think the Premier League are in for a real shock next season. -
If we applied that logic to any potential signings we wouldn't sign anybody.
-
I read we were looking to bring him in last year but Charlton wanted £500k for a player who was free six months after. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/why-blackburn-rovers-should-definitely-look-to-reignite-interest-in-defensive-stalwart/

I agree Andy. The centre halves didn't really have a lot of football in them (similar to Nelsen and Samba) but they could head it, kick it, kick the opposition, were all leaders and put their bodies on the line. I laugh when I hear about 'footballing' centre backs like John Stones who has probably been caught in possession and cost goals in his short career than any of the above did in their entire careers. I call it the Guardiola effect ?. -
Lindsay has gone to Stoke so your list is down to two.
-
That is nonsense from Sharpe. How on earth can anybody be guaranteed a starting place - it just doesn't happen. If he's playing better than his competition he will play, if not he doesn't.
-
Clever as you say Matt. The guy interviewed was Dave Burgess who is their Chief Exec. He knows the game as he played and managed at a high level but more importantly he knows local people as he hails from Clitheroe. He was head hunted by Holt due to these qualities and has played a big part in Stanley's success. Accrington Stanley v Marseille is something nobody could have foreseen.
