And probably quicker ?

As far as I can remember Leeds have charged £39. From a fading memory I think I paid that in the last few seasons for a live TV match on a Thursday night. I genuinely don't see how they can charge almost double the amount we paid at West Bromwich recently. There needs to be some sort regulatory body to look at admission prices. The real irony though is that if Leeds get promoted they can't charge visiting fans more than£30. Edit: I've just seen that the senior threshold starts at 60 and I qualify for that but my point about the £39 stands.

I predict between 300 and 500 Rovers fans at this game. It's about time the EFL did something about fans being blatantly ripped off.

The whole red button farce needs an urgent review by the EFL. Whoever negotiated that deal (Harvey I suspect) should be sacked. How on earth can they pull the plug on the red button access for pubs and clubs half way through the season. I'm also pretty sure that Rovers advertised the game live in the Blues Bar on Wednesday. I don't agree with the red button coverage at all but to do what they have is a scandal.

If Lenihan isn't fit then it has to be Williams at centre back with Mulgrew. He was poor at Preston at left back and poor in a three at Wigan but the bottom line is he is far better than Downing at centre back.

Other Football League 2018/19

If he goes in with that attitude then he won't last five minutes. Ultimately he will be judged on results but players just won't wear his Billy Big Bollocks style if he talks like that to them. I can see it ending in tears. -
Where (& why) has the Team Spirit gone

Team spirit will only get you so far. To push on we really have to have a few better players than we currently do. Mowbray has often talked about 'artists and soldiers' but recently we have had neither. -

Spot on, the buck stops with Mowbray. If this wretched form and performances continue then it will be him who pays the ultimate price. The players who he has protected and looked after will just carry on under another gaffer. If there are any murmurings or discontent amongst the players Mowbray needs to deal with it. -
I can spot Tim Parkin, Paul Round and Brian Morley and possibly Brian Moran. Is Ramsbottom the keeper?

I believe he was right to give the players from last season a chance and clearly some of them aren't up to it but almost as big a problem to me is that pretty much every summer signing has done little to prove themselves good enough. Armstrong, Brereton, Palmer and Rothwell haven't been good enough although one or two aren't really getting a chance. I didn't agree with the contract extensions handed out to some of the players who were still under contract as a reward for promotion. They will have received handsome bonuses for promotion. If the likes of Smallwood and Williams proved themselves good enough over a longer period then reward them. It's not like we are protecting ourselves for a potential sales value.

I think the truth is if Mercer said black you would say white as you seem to have a dislike of him. Add him to to your ignore list and solve the problem.

Generally poor. Him and Mulgrew just couldn't handle the physicality of Vaughan and the running in behind of Windass. In the second half he looked really uncomfortable in an three as did Mulgrew and Williams.
-
At one down we weren't actually chasing the game. I think he changed it to try and stop the big diagonals into our box where Vaughan was absolutely bullying our defence. But quite simply it didn't work.
-
In addition to the money he has spent a significant number of players have been given new deals at some extra cost. A few of these shouldn't have been given in my opinion and just aren't representing any value to the club.
-
Last night we went to a 3-5-2 in the second half. The gaps between the back three were alarming.

Tonight was almost like the players want Mowbray sacked the way they performed. Inept doesn't do the lot of them justice. I saw players pulling out of challenges, not chasing back, no third man running, giving the ball away so cheaply it was criminal and a general lack of passion. Where has this togetherness, this fighting spirit gone that the manager and his players prided themselves on? It would be difficult to mention specific examples of shocking play because every player showed them, some players over and over again. If this malaise carries on it will be Mowbray who cops the flak and the decent work he has done will soon be forgotten. It's back to basics for me on Saturday and a team that shows they care. If we lose that then the rumblings will gather momentum and with such a difficult December we could easily be in the bottom six at the turn of the year. -
Was this match not part of the transfer deal which saw David Hargreaves come to Ewood? I say that because the changing rooms remind me of the ones at Stanley around that time and it appears that Hargreaves in the captain.

If he knows working class people he should know we are generally an honest bunch who tell it like it is and won't be taken for fools. I don't know if this statement is related to Saturday's debacle but the timing is too much of a coincidence for me. The players tried on Saturday but too many were poor and playing out of position. I wonder what his dad would have said if Middlesbrough played without a number nine and a mind boggling system which contributed to them getting gubbed in a derby match.

And not a false nine in sight ?.

He also missed a few games injured, coincidentally just before his court appearance.

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/17254440.derby-day-passes-off-relatively-peacefully/ I hope Stuart Caley reads this. Lancashire Police are happy with how it went and only two arrests. -
We commented on that incident too Nick. His lack of pace and awareness was apparent all afternoon. He is nowhere near the Premier League yet and many more performances like yesterday will see him back in League One.
-
Pretty much how he has looked in each game as a winger (sorry wide striker) - like a fish out of water. It really is surprising when Mowbray will change our system and play players out of position when there is no Graham but he has Brereton sat on the bench. Bizarre.
