  1. For anybody who is interested Millwall have their own pre match play list chosen by fans.
  2. The game was certainly entertaining as both teams 'had a right good go'. Well done to Gary Bowyer who I like as a bloke but just didn't rate him as our manager. His noble deed of escorting Coyle through the celebrating Dundee fans was disappointing. He should have left the twonk to make his own way through the hordes 😉. I heard the Dundee fans singing 'Cheer up Owen Coyle' several times. Sounds like his gob has been running away with itself again.
  3. I would be far more palatable if I knew the money was being used to reduce ticket prices of to improve facilities but in most cases it won't. In our case it will likely be used to offset the annual losses. The agents will be rubbing their hands at this news and the likes of Swag can expect a rise too. So far the usual suspects have mentioned home games. What about the fans who travel away? A potential 12.30 kick off at Plymouth for us is far from ideal. And what about the staggered kick off times at weekend to get their allocation of matches in. We can expect more Saturday and Sunday night games.
  4. In addition to that we had most of our FA Cup matches broadcasted with a reported £200k from the quarter final alone. There is also a fair chunk of money for progressing through the rounds. It would be interesting to know how Rovers budget for tv revenue and the other extras.
  5. The mention of Fergie reminded me of a song I heard some young Rovers fans on the bus to Ewood against Burnley last Tuesday. It was to the tune of The Sway and I thought it was very good but unfortunately I haven't heard it sung in the ground. The lyrics were: We won the Premier League in '95, On Merseyside, And Fergie cried. Then lots of la, la, la's.
  6. Live on BBC Scotland (channel 187) tonight. I hope horse face isn't wearing his toothy grin after the game.
  7. I'm assuming you got sorted out with tickets then BigBar.
  8. For anybody who hasn't heard it this is Millwalls song. It's a bit Chas and Dave but when twenty thousand are singing it then it can sound really good.
  9. I was at the game too, about fifteen of us in the side stand amongst Millwall supporters. They were great with us though (they would be, they'd just win the league) and the biggest insult we got was when one cockney asked "which one of you lot have got a fackin job then?" Thatchers Britain eh 😂😂
  10. I don't think so, no. That said I have Millwall a penalty which won them the game but it was nailed on. And sending off four Wolves players helped too 😂😂 It was one of a very few times when I got 100/100 from the match assessor
  11. W***** was the in word at that time usually preceded by fackin 😂. The Wolves players were certainty intimidated by the cauldron which was a mixture of passion and hate. It wasn't a night for any players to give it the big 'un.
  12. The game is a sell out. I refereed a match there against Wolves and both were going for promotion with a capacity crowd. I can say truthfully it was the most intimidating atmosphere I have come across in this country. It will be a great experience for some of our youngsters and hopefully we don't melt in the face of it.
  13. My understanding is that there are two or three of the dedicated Sky Sports channels to be used for Championship games on Monday. My guess is that West Brom and Sunderland would be covered too and potentially Huddersfield v Reading although that could be dependent on Thursdays result.
  14. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/may/02/decider-at-the-den-selected-by-sky/ Live on Sky but thankfully the kick off time is cast in stone otherwise we'd be looking at stupid o'clock again. The odds are stacked against us but all we can do is go there and win and hope (for a change) the footballing Gods look favourably down on us. I've learned over the decades to never say never where Rovers are concerned and in many respects there is more pressure on Millwall to win and they will be nervously looking at the other scores too.
  15. Hugely frustrated once again. Anybody with half a football brain knows the problem we have had all season and nothing, absolutely nothing done about it. I couldn't give a flying fart about being let down, players changing their minds, in the building and all the other crap we have been fed. The manager, squad and fans have been let down by our new all singing, all dancing recruitment team headed up by Saint Gregg, the master bullshitter. We can analyse many aspects of recent games and they haven't been perfect but all roads lead back to not being able to score goals. That is what has cost us more than any other single thing. The more learned amongst us predicted this dearth of goals would come back to haunt us and it has.
  16. He won't have that safety next tonight so he will have to make the big calls for himself. I just hope he gets them big decisions right because in recent weeks they have gone against us.
  17. He is a Select Group One referee and predominantly operates on the Premier League and as a VAR as well as being on the International list. My only fear about referees 'dropping down' a league or two is that some think they are too good to do this and take this attitude into the game. We shall see.
  18. Just pull the trigger when you can Trav. This is the result.
  19. This is a symptom of the club and typifies owners who just aren't bothered. Waggott hit his target on season tickets this season and was almost boastful about it (that's how it came across in the FF minutes) and probably received some kind of bonus for that. His target should be the number of season tickets sold and given a budget to reach that. For example if he has a target of £3m align that to selling 12000 tickets so effectively reduce the prices by 25%. That would mean he has to do something radical to reach his objective but it also means getting off his backside and actually doing something. The lack of accountability amongst most of the senior people at our club is alarming but the real problem is the errant owners who allow these character prosper at the clubs expense.
  20. Just watching Cardiff v Huddersfield and the home team are the epitome of players being on the beach. I saw them beat Rotherham on Thursday playing with some intensity, today they haven't got out of second gear.
  21. Punctured hopefully - it's sink or swim time. 😄😄
  22. I have said for weeks now that I would be happy if we were going to Millwall with something to play for but if it's in our own hands even better. For me winning tomorrow is imperative.
  23. I saw Stanley yesterday in a real crunch game where a win would have given them a fighting chance but sadly for them Cambridge were the better team and won 2-1. As a result they are almost certainty relegated to League Two. In truth they have punched above their weight for some time now and lots of injuries and suspensions have been part of their downfall this season. And another local team in Rochdale were relegated to the National Conference.
