  1. It can be done but it requires somebody to get off their backside. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/turf-moor-stand-to-be-redeveloped-as-new-burnley-food-and-drink-system-announced-for-supporters/ar-AA1chH2T
  2. I recall a banner the Green Brigade held up the first game after he left. It said YOU TRADED IMMORTALITY FOR MEDIOCRITY. I wonder where that is now 😂😂.
  3. And admit they got it wrong, something the likes of Waggott don't do.
  4. One of the most irritating (it's a big pool to be fair) about Waggott is his reluctance to try anything vaguely innovative like the example from Doncaster. We have become a copy and paste club where the low hanging fruit is the most favourable.
  5. With the exposure we had last season Totally Wicked certainly got their money's worth and if I was looking to attract a new sponsor that (along with the extra televised games next season) should be high on the agenda when negotiating. And surely the huge spend our owners must have with their suppliers should be used to bring in extra cash through sponsorship. That however means some of our people coming out of their comfort zones and actually doing what they get paid to do.
  6. It was at Millwall. It would have been interesting had he done it in front of their baying hordes 😂😂
  7. Was your father a local man? Did he do National Service anywhere?
  8. As you rightly say it's a sensible decision. Hopefully the multi ball will be the spare balls on cones dotted around the pitch rather than young kids giving spare balls to players. Hopefully the referees have a unified approach to time wasting and add every second of lost time to negate the spoiling tactics of some teams.
  9. I have been reading the book and came across something from Alan Shearer which irked me. Alan is of the opinion that the club should do something for Tony like naming something in his honour. This was mooted some years ago and from memory it was another thing Waggott was to 'look into' and come back (I think it was to the Fans Forum) but to the best of my knowledge hasn't done. It's another badge of shame for the imbesilic Waggott. The man has no shame why do we have to suffer this idiot.
  10. Waggott has a financial target to reach set by the errant ones and he boasted about meeting this last season. Why he hasn't been tasked with increasing the attendance in line with the financials God only knows. It appears he is the stumbling block aided and abetted by owners who don't care about thousands of empty seats. Waggott seems to me to always that the path of least resistance and knows he can his his objective by screwing the loyal eight thousand or so. Job done. What we need is somebody who is prepared to take the risk (quite minimal I believe) and reduce the prices like John Williams did. That initiative paid dividends. If that happens and it doesn't engender lots of extra sales then at least he has tried. After all we have billionaire owners who apparently never refuse a request for money who could supplement any loss. The million dollar question is in hold and only Waggott can answer that. My own view is he is lazy and is embedded in his own comfort zone.
  11. I remember playing Chievo in a friendly as I was an official on the game. Tom Finn came in to see us after the match and said that Rovers would make a loss on the game. From memory there were only around 5000 in attendance and Tom said once all the expenses were deducted and the fee paid to Chievo that Rovers would have been out of pocket. I recall him saying something along the lines of not having a foreign team for a friendly again. I wonder if Waggott has factored the fee Bologna would presumably take into account.
  12. Thanks for your efforts on this goozburger. Your posts on this stimulates much really good debate and put the likes of Waggott in his true place as a charlatan.
  13. Well done City on beating the Rags but from a neutral(ish) point of view the game was a bit of a damp squib. So many high quality players who just didn't do it today for City but for them picking up the cup was all that mattered.
  14. City are playing a version of walking football and making it easy for the Rags to play against them. De Bruyne has been awful as has Haaland. United are distinctly average with the likes of Fred and Sancho vastly overrated. If City up the tempo they can win this comfortably but at the moment they are their own worst enemy.
  15. Maybe there is some confusion and the minutes belong to this event 😂😂
  16. I renewed in person and wasn't charged the 'booking fee' but in the minutes BP states that he knows some people who weren't charged it also and has agreed to supply PF with their names so these could be checked. So is he going to get in touch with anybody who hasn't paid it? The administration of our club is frankly embarrassing.
  17. We made £1.5m from the live TV matches which inconvenienced lots of supporters (and pi55ed off many) and the money has gone to offset the shortfall that the errant ones put in.
  18. It is. I recall getting a bit giddy when he signed because he had a big reputation. After watching his debut at Hull that quickly changed and he tanked in the next few games. In fairness though he has made a good career for himself. Your prize for the first to answer correctly is an evening with Steve Waggott 😂😂
  19. An ex Rover is now playing for Seville in the Europa League final. Can anyone name him?
  20. There are so many similarities between the Sky and BT prices and our season ticket prices with the main one being too pricey when there are cheaper (albeit illegal) options. As Wheelton Blue says lots of Rovers fans watch the games from the comfort of their living rooms.
  21. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65697595 Some operators of illegal football streams have been caught and jailed. Once again though the reason people turn to this is because the high prices charged by Sky and BT which in turn feeds the agents, players and executives.
  22. This is the same referee who sent a Barnsley player off yesterday but didn't seem this a red card.
  23. One of the exceptions were Rovers when the relegation clauses were (allegedly) removed by Kean and Anderson who then were paid for the renegotiation of players contracts.
  24. Not necessarily. His season (much like the clubs) is judged over the entirety of it so a few errors here and there could be absorbed into high marks from lots of good games enabling him to finish top of the merit list.
