The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)
arbitro replied to RoversClitheroe's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I really don't know. If Kean won a case for constructive dismissal then perhaps but I'll be amazed if the NDA or equivalent will have been more than a tribunal would have awarded them. As an aside I'd love to know how much NDA's have cost the Punekars in the last decade and a half. -

He has gone to Newcastle I'm told but for some reason (embarrassment?) Rovers haven't made it public. They quite rightly made a big thing about Tyjon signing but insult us with the radio silence about Finneran. -

The point for me is that the money won't be sent from India. -

Of course it does, well to anybody with a few brain cells. If it was a genuine error why haven't we gone back in for McGuire as it was reported we would do. For me it has been pretty much confirmed by the subsequent information garnered by some great investigative work by some posters proving that the Punekars are in trouble. I genuinely think Ian Silvester was the patsy here and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if his silence has been bought. -
Who knows. Logic dictates to me that both teams would be a mix but in the games against Accrington, Tranmere and Nuremburg he played his strongest team in the first half/game and then changed to essentially the under 21's. Eustace has said it's about fitness and right now I don't think and of the players have played a full 90 minutes.

And the new Solihull secretary, Ian Silvester would probably have a wry smile on his face as he pressed send. -
I have been told that the reason Ewood will close from noon today is so that employees can attend a fun day at the Academy. There will be bouncy castles and other games for all the staff including the players. This will be followed by a barbeque in the evening. Under normal circumstances something like this wouldn't bother me but in our current plight surely the money could be spent on something more rewarding like power washing the outside of the ground.
-
I firmly believe in the element of surprise. Waggott would have all his ducks in a row for a pre planned meeting working to an agenda. Tonight is ideal from a timing point of view and to take him by surprise. I don't know if questions will be asked or not but for anyone not grasping the gravity of our situation misses an opportunity to take him to task to praise the new kits design then we might as well put up the shutters now.
-
Waggott would become the victim in many people's eyes which would suit him down to the ground. I have never felt any value could be had by just walking out. Rather than that of he won't answer questions he should be pushed and the right tactics adopted to try and get answers. I personally don't like the idea of the club vetting the minutes before they go out and don't buy into the confidentiality bit. As a supporter and season ticket holder I should privvy to everything that is discussed. The days of niceties are gone for me and playing dirty should be the order of the day. Rovers are obliged to meet supporters bi-annually in a Consultation Meeting and have a Shareholder Meeting but haven't done since Covid, that being the convenient excuse. Waggott is getting away with murder.
-
Not that I think it would happen but that would be playing into Waggott's hands. It's simple to me. The normal conventions and rules of the Fans Forum have to be out to one side and the opportunity to quiz him shouldn't be missed. If he won't directly answer the questions then supporters can draw their own conclusions.
-
If the questions are put to him he will have to answer them given he has already spoken on the subject (and potentially been economical with the truth). There is no excuse for not doing as most of it is historical and he should know the answers. If I'm being truthful I am more worried about the questions being put to him and if so being fobbed off. It needs a concerted and sustained line of questioning which should be supported by every Fans Forum member in attendance. The work has already been done by Upside Down, it just needs somebody to hold Waggott's feet to the fire now.
-
I have copied Upside Downs excellent post here which has a timeline on the court cases and decisions. I implore somebody from the Fans Forum to take this with them and get an answer and detail from Waggott on every point Upside Down has chronicled. I really think we are entering one of the most critical periods of our recent history (and that's some feat after the last 14 years) and us fans deserve better. And if he does get asked his answers should be minuted for all the fans to read. I believe we are past the point of 'off the record' conversations. I'm going to post this one more time just so there is no confusion. On 22nd August 2022 the Foreign Exchange Management (Overseas Investment) Rules were changed. Rule 10 states that any residents of India that is currently under investigation by an agency of the government (of which the Directorate Of Enforcement is one) must obtain a 'No Objection Certificate' from that agency before being allowed to send funds outside of the country. Venkys, who have been under investigation by the ED since sometime in 2021, applied for this to be able to send 26 million over. On 6th March 2023 this was rejected by the ED. The following court cases were venkys fighting this decision. Two payments have been made since then. The first of 3.54 million on 23rd June 2023, this was after the club had received a threat of winding up from HMRC. The second was for 11.45million. A detailed breakdown of costs was provided for this, 1.8 million allocated to 'agent fees'. In both cases the ED faught tooth and nail against them being able to send money. The judgement of the court was that an equivalent bond be placed with the ED. Venkys cannot send anything over without the NOC from the ED. The ED oppose this and that's what the court cases are for.

I saw the names on the scoreboard before the match but didn't take particular note. We had a Canadian youngster as a trialist playing left back (although he was predominantly right footed).
-
There is normally a coach provided for away matches. They used the same kit at Macclesfield last week. It could well be that when injuries and suspensions (and sales) start to bite some of the under 21 players will be in the first team match day squad. The effect of this would be players from a younger group moving up and women will ?thrive and others crash and burn. There was a difference physically yesterday and I can live with that. What was frustrating was the elementary mistakes like not being able to play a simple ten yard pass under no pressure.

Blackburn Rovers Women
arbitro replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was told that there was an financial incentive last season to play games at the home ground but I don't know about this season. I know we were paying £2k for each game at Leyland several years ago so the likelihood is that is more now. Similarly I haven't seen any confirmation of where the under 21's are playing their home matches yet after a poorly worded communication from the club cast doubt on the venue of games. Reading the Villa statement it says that last summer they had record season ticket sales for their women's team. Perhaps Walsall isn't big enough to cope with demand. -

I was told he did a twenty minute training session before the game alone. -

Rovers have announced that the Women's team will play all their home matches at Ewood. It's screaming out 'cost cutting' to me. -
I noticed at Nantwich yesterday that the Academy mini-bus was used for some of the players whilst others travelled in their own cars. There was also an Intack Hire van there. What a club we have become.
-
Really poor defensively from the under 21's but in truth it was an under 18 team. The first goal in the first minute came from a lazy pass across the 18 yard box with not enough pace. The Nantwich player didn't even have to work for it. Adam Khan was in goal and didn't do very well. Jordan Eastham was on the bench and didn't get on. With our gaggle of keepers surely some have to be sold or loaned out if only to save a few quid. The decision to sign Barrett looks stranger by the day.

Under 16 is not a category you can buy. It's under 12 or 12-18. -
