  1. I got the following back after querying it. The t&c's for 24/25 season tickets clearly states that the season ticket doesn't include under 21 games. It seems to me that someone has been updated the t&c's and changed it without any consultation. Tony, I hope you are well – Steve has asked me to come back to you on your query. The terms and conditions shouldn’t have changed from previous years and I will work to get them reverted as soon as possible. We are still awaiting confirmation on this position from the host venue but we are very much hoping to be able to welcome season ticket holders to U21s league fixtures free of charge for this coming season. I apologise if this has caused distress and thanks for raising it, Fraser
  2. Thanks Mike. It was strange that it referred specifically to 23/24 season. Will WATR be taking this up with the club and hopefully resurrect the Consultation Meetings?
  3. I was checking for something on the Rovers Customer Charter and came across the item below. Can anybody confirm that these took place? I'm assuming the hastily convened meeting at Brockhall in January doesn't count as one. During the 2023-24 season, the club will be creating a new Supporter Consultation group to discuss strategic matters. This will consist of members of We Are The Rovers (Supporter Trust) and other supporter groups and key stakeholders. Meetings will be held at least bi-annually with members of the Board and Senior Management Team in attendance. We Are The Rovers (Supporter Trust) will invite members and fellow supporter groups to attend and manage attendance at the meeting.
  4. And it appears the basic membership package get you the same number of loyalty points as the premium one.
  5. There were many occasions when law was not applied so to single out the most trivial one was bewildering and in truth didn't show refereeing in a good light.
  6. I honestly don't think anyone was aware until he told Tyjon to go off and allowed Saadi to come back on. The irony was that had the games been in their original one hour format it would have been perfectly legal. It was just a pedantic referee who decided to strictly enforce the law whilst clearly disregarding other aspects.
  7. Which in itself is contrary to law as the substitution had taken place. It was ridiculous from the officials and petty beyond belief. I don't think anybody had even thought of the fact he had made a brief first half appearance and for a few minutes confusion reigned. I was sat close to the Technical Areas and the Accrington officials were as perplexed as everyone else and really didn't look bothered.
  8. I seem to remember it was specifically for painting/repairing the underside of the stands where paint has flaked off and is in a state of disrepair. I was told that it has been put out to tender and three prices have been quoted but in typical Punekar fashion nothing has been done yet.
  9. I don't know because it's so ambiguous. I have written to Waggott asking him why this has changed.
  10. I read the company biography and I actually know the guy who seems to be the owner. He is originally from Darwen and lived close by to me when we were young and used to travel on the old Ribblesdale coaches with a lot of other Darreners. I can vouch for fact his love of Rovers is sincere. I actually worked at ICI with him where he was an Instruments Engineer but from memory he emigrated to America in the late 70's and has clearly been successful. I don't know the size of Dakota Biotech and hadn't seen anything about the interest in buying Rovers.
  11. That is how it appears. The £30 early bird saving will be swallowed up by watching Rovers under 21's. I have emailed Waggott for an explanation for something which on the face of it seems underhanded. The new clause in the t&c's reads: A 2024/25 Season Ticket entitles you admission to all regular Men's first-team Championship League matches played at Ewood Park throughout the 2024/25 season. This does not include any of our Under 21's or Women's first-team matches, any Men's first-team friendlies, cup competitions or play-off matches.
  12. Nothing has been scheduled but the Stockport friendly isn't certain to go ahead as we drew them in the League Cup which will be played on August 13th. My guess is that both Rovers and Stockport are looking for an alternative fixture but it's getting a but late now to arrange one.
  13. I got mine too - thanks for them. I will add them to my collection of Rovers pin badges.
  14. I was with a crowd of friends in the Bee Hole End after the Longside was closed to Rovers fans because it was full. That was well before kick off. There were lots of Rovers fans around the ground evidenced by the celebrations after each goal. It was easy then because there was no ticket requirement, pretty much every turnstile was cash.
  15. I noticed that the other week. They sneaked it in without telling anybody which is about par for the course down there. The only thing I can think of is that if the new loyalty points system will include under 21 games and at Leyland there is no recording electronically so tickets would have to be bought in advance by season ticket holders. And occasionally some of the games are played the Academy. That's me having a wild guess though but once again the lack of communication is appalling.
  16. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/july/04/ticket-news--accrington-stanley-v-rovers/ Tickets are available on the day.
  17. I see the Women's team have a new front of shirt sponsor in Dakota Biotech. I haven't a clue how much it is worth but I do wonder if the loss Watson Ramsbottomas shirt sponsor has affected their budget. https://www.dakotabiotech.com/about
  18. We have our 2024 version of SAS now. Skint and Struggling.
  19. I think the damage has been done Carl. I wouldn't expect any of the released players to reconsider after the way they have been treated. Effectively the Rovers Women's team is going to have to be built from scratch and on buttons. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the manager and coaching staff aren't considering their futures.
  20. Looking at some of the names who have been let go I recognise a significant number of them as the better players I watched last season when I saw them play three times. At any football club the better players will always earn more. Clearly some of them are rightly disgusted at the way they are treated but my logic tells me it's about cost cutting, pure and simple. It says in the Guardian article that the club refused to comment. https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/jul/03/blackburn-rovers-criticised-after-minimum-wage-reports-for-women
  21. Pay staff extra to work Sunday??? 😂😂I The shop only opens at 11 am on Friday which historically is done to allow staff to put the new stock out. It is also open until 'late'.
  22. It looks like the home shirt will be on sale on Friday.
  23. Just looking at the title of this thread and in light of the two recent stories does anybody still think that the McGuire deal was down to 'human error'?
  24. I was at the game and remember the sick feeling when Vokes came off the bench to equalise and if my memory serves me right they had a great chance to win it just after. As for being on Sky I honestly can't recall whether it was actually live.
  25. I'm certain it will be on Sky as I think every game against them has since 99/00 season.
