  1. Nothing much he can do, he didn't sign a striker in the window.
  2. Some people like yourself are reading things that aren't there, I thought Rothwell's attitude was absolutely spot on last night, he ran his socks off. Lenihan's head didn't appear to be right but up until the last couple of games people had been complimenting him on how well he'd been playing and what a warrior he was. Were you one of the ones that was ok with dropping Nyambe pre match as well?
  3. Would rather go for Hughes personally.
  4. Sack him for me whilst we still have a chance of the play offs. Compensation should be minimal by now. At least someone else might start with our best eleven players.
  5. Best Post of the night imo. I really don't see why there's a distinction in Mowbray's head between Nyambe and Zeefuick. So what if Nyambe has declined to sign a new deal thus far? You're not telling me there's the slightest chance Zeefuik will still be here next season either if we don't go up. There's no way imo we'd spend €3m on a RB when we don't even seem prepared to invest that on a goalscorer. And that's even assuming he'd be worth 3m. On what we've seen so far you'd struggle to pay 300k for him. Secondly, if I were the owners I'd be fuming. They've generously agreed to forgo the chance of any fees for the 3 amigos so that Mowbray could have them at his disposal for the last 18 games to give us the best possible chance of promotion. Then, the manager won't play him! You simply couldn't make it up. It's breaking my heart to see Mowbray wrecking our promotion chances by refusing to put our best eleven players out on the pitch - Khedra and Brereton last Saturday, Nyambe tonight. We will never get a better chance of automatic promotion than the one we've seemingly spurned due to a really poor window and the managers idiosyncrasies. And who knows when we'll be in a position to even challenge for the play offs again if a stream of our best players are constantly allowed to walk out for nothing. Like Moyes last night it's Mowbray's job to put the best team possible out on the pitch for the football Club and leave personal feelings aside. I thought Moyes on balance was wrong but then again Nyambe hasn't really done anything wrong off the pitch and has always been impeccable on it so there's no comparison.
  6. What's the ref done wrong? Think he's been quite lenient towards us some of the nasty pointless fouls we've done.
  7. 2 goals from Nyambe's side of the pitch tonight. Well done Mowbray.
  8. With the cushion of a BBD sale in summer if necessary as well.
  9. Great ball from Dolan. Gallagher has to do better.
  10. After tonight please whilst we still have a chance of top 6.
  11. We're going to have to rein it in a bit here or we could finish with 8 or 9 on the pitch.
  12. Surprised it's taken that long tbh, he's been a red card waiting to happen tonight.
  13. I really don't think so. It would be a good deal less annoying if Nyambe had done ANYTHING whatsoever to warrant being dropped. But he hasn't.
  14. Well, the manager who gratuitously dropped arguably our best defender is getting exactly what he deserved. Those of us supporters who want to see us give ourselves a chance by putting our best eleven players out on the pitch, not so much so.
  15. Wide open down Nyambe's side. All too predictable.
  16. What rubbish. We all want 3 points. Shame there's Zeefuick fan boys who would prefer to see an unproven player who hasn't impressed thus far ahead of a proven player who has excelled for us though.
  17. We need to go up THIS season and we have Nyambe until then. Why play an inferior player player in the meantime? Next season is a different matter if RN leaves. Cutting off your nose to spite your face.
  18. 100%. Absolute joke. We won't cash in on Nyambe because we need him but we just won't play him instead. Mowbray is doing his level best to derail any promotion hopes by his stubborn refusal to play our best starting X1.
  19. That would be the Gallagher with whom we've invariably had poor results whenever he's played and the new recruits Giles apart who don't look up to it, yes.
  20. Absolutely spot on. That HAS to be the line up doesn't it? It picks itself.
  21. I find it incredible that anyone would start either Gallagher or Hedges ahead of Khedra. I can only assume they haven't been watching the matches this season or in particular the games at Hull and the one on Saturday. That said I would never underestimate Tinkerman Tony's ability to sabotage our promotion chances by trying to shoehorn Gallagher and the new recruits (who with the exception of Giles have singularly failed to impress) into the starting eleven ahead of the line up that has served us well this season.
  22. I had a look on the internet to see what his most recent wages were and it was claimed it was "only" £31 k p.w. which if true should be doable in theory in conjunction with the promotion bonus etc. Better for him than sitting there doing nothing, could be our Steve Archibald moment. But you're right, given the lack of ambition shown in the transfer window to bring a much needed striker in there probably is more chance of SJ.
  23. .......But if Mowbray had started BB (as he should have done) no doubt you'd have been fully supportive of that decision as well.
  24. Eleven out of eleven pick themselves for me, Khedra not Gallagher. We've generally picked up good results without Gallagher in the side and poorer ones with him in it. If Mowbray strays from what has served us so well this season he'll get everything he deserves if it goes pear shaped and we as fans have to suffer as a consequence for him thinking he can be clever and shuffle it about.
