  1. It's going to be the lamest stumble to the line in many a year. Out of the five sides realistically vying for the last two relegation spots - they have four wins between them in each of their last five games. Twenty five games! Portsmouth have two wins from the last five games Charlton have one Oxford have one Us and WBA have none. It wouldn't take much for one team to get out of trouble and if we sacked VI and got a bit of a bounce it could make all the difference. Still think we'll go unless we sack Ismael. Couldn't really pick the next worst out of that lot.
  2. Maybe a bit of an overexaggeration but was it just the existing squad we have now plus Cleary? Bit optimistic to think the addition of one player is going to shoot us up the table. We have a terrible Head Coach however.
  3. Assuming you're right for a moment 1) When you say they'd walk away "unscathed" are you claiming the entire amount of their "investment" in the Club consists of borrowed money from BOI ? 2) What would constitute a "favourable climate"?
  4. And you'd imagine it IS coming soon.......
  5. Has to. TV income would be down £6m or £7m on it's own now without anything else being taken into consideration.
  6. Probably not, but we're not even in the same ball park on the fee so any talk of him coming is ludicrous imo. If that changes and we land him, fair play.
  7. Perhaps you should convey that message to your glorious leader! 😂😂
  8. Sounds feasible. Still don't agree with it - you should be picked on merit alone and in the long run we're better playing Pratt. And if you're that worried about costs, wouldn't cost any loan fee at all.
  9. Pretty sure they wouldn't have at the time. They might be worrying about it by now. Of course proper owners would be ringing the stooges up about now playing holy hell because we've recently dropped into the bottom 3. Whether our lot care enough or have even noticed is of course very much up for debate.
  10. I dont know if it's true or not. I've always thought it's more likely with these things that rather than a written agreement that "player X will play a minimum 80 minutes every week" etc there more of a general understanding that said player will get a good amount of games time every week or any privileges will be withdrawn etc. Im not in favour of either. The fact Cashin was brought straight back in after just one game out does nothing to persuade me that something fishy isnt going on frankly.
  11. If we're the only suitor for him maybe. If not and If we're going down, (which I think we are) what's the point in him moving unless we're a better long term prospect? (eg Derby v Rovers) Im not even sure we're that at the moment either. All likely to be hypothetical debate anyway as we won't pay the fee for him.
  12. I think it's more likely that the owners don't WANT to be relegated but that Pasha and Gestede (and Waggott when he was still here) pitched them this masterplan about how they could reduce the age of the squad with a view to selling players on, save a shitload of costs in terms of wages and STILL retain Championship status! (Cue £ signs!) In short the stooges have played Russian roulette with our Championship future and probably failed. The live bullet is about to go off. I still dont think either that anyone has accounted properly for the loss of Championship TV Revenue if we go down plus all the other associated loss of revenue. The net position will be we'll be a lot worse off.
  13. From the player's perspective it would be an odd and risky move to agree to a permanent offer to move in the hope of moving again in the summer.
  14. I'm thought you were asking about the suggestion that Cashin had to play because Brighton were subbing most if not all his wages. That came from the people who normally share the transfer rumours. Apologies if Ive got my wires crossed.
  15. Wow, what's the bid today, £1.6m plus a £3.4m add on if he hits 300 international caps? (Not having a go at you sorry. The LT shouldn't be encouraging this nonsense either) Lashings of humble pie at the ready if Im wrong.
  16. You've asked the same question before and I answered it at the time. From the same people who provide the transfer rumours normally. You seem quite happy to believe them when it suits, for example if it's reported we've spent £3m on a player.
  17. Hard to argue against that isn't it when you consider what they did to Eustace and the experienced players, failing to give them any assurances on their futures and replacing them with Ismael and assorted Eurotrash. The vast majority of us knew how it would turn out and so it's proving.
  18. Personally I think that's a bit harsh. I don't mind nipping over to the other forum to discuss the pro's and cons of anything or anyone doing the same over here as long as any live debate takes place in a reasonably respectful manner.
  19. That's it in a nutshell isn't it. Not going to call anyone "clappers" or anything like that but some supporters actually seem to be citing the fact that only 6.5 k home fans turned up is some sort of failure on behalf of the protest organisers! As if home crowds of that level are acceptable in general! It's beyond bizarre. Anyhow, Im eager to hear what the next protest initiative will be and if it involves turning up at a match Im in. Really, different sorts of protest should already have been organised for each of the next two home games. The pressure needs to be kept up now and constant imo.
  20. Very much so. I nearly posted "Unfortunately I doubt this will be another fairy tale Souness type solution". We got extremely lucky with that.
  21. We'll be lucky if we get to 40 points with this bloke!
  22. Hopefully Leicester use the same data metrics that we do which all apparently showed Ismael to be by far "the outstanding candidate". Get shut of the useless twonk and 2.5 years compo on top. If Carlsberg did approaches..............
  23. Why do they need him when they've got Sam Gallagher?
  24. Yes, that's a really good point. Outside of those two brief runs his record really is impossibly bad. And the first run of 4 games came from a better team when the pressure was off because it looked at the time as though we'd played ourselves completely out of play off contention and it didn't matter.
  25. I was meaning more they wont spend the going rate on wages more than transfer fees. Also, dont forget they sold Hyam in the last few hours of the summer transfer window which would have been £3m in they weren't necessarily expecting so I dont think they deserve a ticker tape welcome through town for reinvesting that money either!
