Obviously it does as we have a limited allocation of loan slots. This is another reason why we should have got the vast majority of our business done during the permanent window and not be starting about now.
-
Not really as they are the first choice defensive players and Bell and Hart have already played further forward for us.
-
Spot on jim.
-
Edited.
-
If you were thinking of playing 3-5 -2. Even discounting them, still way too many.
-
Are you not forgetting Rodwell? Also we have Tomlinson, Hart and Bell will also be looking for a place in the side once Williams is fit. Plus Travis, Whittingham, and Gladwin who haven't gone anywhere yet. Just your usual 17 midfielders. I reckon we could do with 2 or 3 more just to be on the safe side.
-
Well yes, if Brereton signs.
-
Yes. He's an outstanding player and we lack width. It's an absolute no brainer. Doubt he'll be coming in though. If TM wanted him he'd have been here long before now.
-
If We're happy to play without strikers it would be.
-
On SSN it said he was going for a second scan but didn't specify the injury. Don't wish the lad any harm but wonder if this I'd our Leon Best/Jordan Rhodes moment this season.
-
Very funny. It's not like we've just come up with the move from scratch in the last 24-48 hours though, its been on the go for three weeks.
-
Tend to agree Jim, seems a rather pointless signing when We're so short in other key areas. Pile him up over there with all the midfielders.
-
I was wondering that, not checked the transfer news for a couple of days and checked last night and was surprised to see the transfer news regarding us was Reed not Brereton. Strange once again how the cheap loan deal can get done almost overnight but the major deal which involves spending decent money eventually, can't

Thought it felt pretty good for most of last season to be fair.
-
I thought that last time we were in the Championship really. Never saw more than one or two outstanding sides over several seasons. Ironically Brentford under Warburton looked as good as anyone giving us a footballing lesson when Bowyer was here. You could also argue There's a lot of mediocrity in the lower reaches of the Premier League as well. Bit early to be getting too carried away, if We're still in 5th or 6th at Christmas I might have a different view. These early points we are accumuting are absolute gold dust though whether we hit a lean spell and fall away a bit or keep it going and covet ambitions of sneaking into the playoffs towards the end of the Sea so.

And.....TM seems to rate them! ☺️

Was a game that could have gone either way wouldn't you say? They smacked the crossbar from close range 1st half, Raya made two great saves second half and the woodwork came to our aid again whereas we only had one serious effort on goal and scored from it. But who cares as we battled superbly.
-
Yup. Here's hoping.
-
I wouldn't but I imagine Tony will.
-
Strange definition of "nothing to do." He kept us in the game with one absolutely outstanding save and one very good one. I'd have given him MOM but you couldn't argue with Bennett getting it either, he was terrific 2nd half and is so much better in the middle than out wide.
-
Much better second half, we scored with probably our only serious effort of the game but who cares, we battled ferociously second half and showed great character. Absolutely massive 3 points that which for the first time this season affords us a bit of wiggle room and the longer we can stay unbeaten the more confidence will build. The turning point of the game came seconds before the goal. Raya produced an absolutely outstanding save to tip a long range effort onto the post. The ball broke up the other end and Rothwell produced a moment of real inspiration to produce a fantastic crossfield ball round the corner to put (Nyambe?) away. The keeper made a save but the ball broke to Palmer for a simple tap in from the middle of the area. We've done really well to grind out nine points with both the obvious deficiencies in the squad exacerbated by injuries to Dack and Armstrong. Be interesting to see what we can so if Brereton comes in and is half decent, we can keep Dack fit and we could bring in a skilful Wideman. Well to to TM and the team for a very hard fought 3 points today.
-
Poor half. Without Dack we lack any sort of spark or creativity going forward. We could still do with Chapman badly imo.
-
They have been playing exceptionally well and if Villa hadn't managed an injury time equaliser they'd have had ten points from four games. Much depends upon whether Dack and Palmer are available and fully fit for me. If not I would expect to be given a bit of a run around.

"Waiting for Waggott" ? Bravo Sir! Post of the year. Hope that isn't the epitaph for this window in a week's time If nothing much happens.

Wonder who the Premier League player who was out of contract that unsall thought might be in before weekend was? Looks like that hasn't happened either.
