  1. Depending on the percentages allowed, 7k may not even be required. Seen anything from 20 to 40% capacity quoted, based on the lower end, 7K would be more than sufficient. I wouldnt be surprised if the club was banking on having low-ish ST sales, they make more from single match sales and it may be we dont struggle to sell out the limited capacity
  2. For those still damning the club for not selling Season Tickets yet, a well run, huge and successful club have now seen fit to stop selling them over concerns on rules around attendance https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54018069
  3. I didnt say it was the right thing, in my opinion, to be doing. I was providing a logical reason for why the club shop hasnt been opened. I didnt say it shouldnt be open or that it couldnt be opened. Similarly with ST, I can understand why the club hasnt sold any as yet, that doesnt mean I endorse the decision. Trying to understand why something is the way it is, and offering an explanation, doesnt mean you agree with it.
  4. Think its more a business decision. Are they going to pay several members of staff to wait in the shop, which will need to be managed in a COVID secure way, for levels of custom which are likely to be reduced given fans can't attend. Instead, pay a lower number of people to manage our online orders (which I cant imagine are huge volumes) but with the flexibility to bring staff back when volumes increase i.e. when the kits are on sale. Yes it's sad, but I can see why the club shop isn't open for walk ins.
  5. Pole position.... lewandowski is finally going to fulfill his destiny and dream to play for Rovers. At centre back.
  6. Could be because it will be underwhelming. Or could be a signing many thought not possible and so Venkys and TM will get applauded. Can be interpreted either way
  7. Maybe turn out like the last player we picked up from PNE. And yes I know it's only been a few appearances but pretty much a non risk bit of business.
  8. I'm not sure the best negotiation tact is to emphasise the negative of going elsewhere. Clearly, against WBA, the biggest issue is going against PL football and wages. Can't do much on the wage front unless we are promoted, but could always give him a modest PL club release clause from next summer, should we not be promoted.
  9. I fully agree with these sentiments, it's completely unprofessional. However I'd be interested in hearing his side of this, although we're never likely to hear it. TM doesn't seem the type to bomb someone out usually.
  10. White collar. Sticker on the back which isn't straight.
  11. If he doesn't push a story, the LET get crucified for not reporting when is happening and get labelled as unknowledgeable or under the club's control. Publish and it's a case they're advertising so another club gets the player or its pushing a player out. They can't win. I'm sure Kipre's agent alerted other clubs before the LET put the article out.
  12. This assumes Venkys have authorised the same budget as last year, which seems unlikely in the global climate. On top of that, we've a big black hole in sponsorship money as it stands, which you'd expect based on previous official comments about the amount, would comfortably be a six figure sum
  13. The point I responded to questioned whether we really wanted Kipre if he is happy to sit on the bench but make more cash. Bauer may have got more money with us, we don't know, but apparently didn't sign as he was not guaranteed to start. TM got criticism - indicating some would be happy for us to sign players more bothered by money than playing. Damned if we do and damned if we don't.
  14. And yet TM gets slaughtered by many for losing out on Bauer for apparently not promising him first team football.
  15. He blocked me when I wasn't even winding him up. He tweeted the Sunderland takeover had fallen through and literally within a few hours it was announced as completed, so I commented that he needed new sources in the north east.
  16. He and Amoruso looked brilliant that day, perfect debuts. He may not have shone all that regularly but he was a 7/10 most weeks across most positions. That squads version of Bennett (not the rating, the versatility)
  17. The issue may not be what he is paid now but what he can get paid elsewhere. Note TMs comments that we can't compete on cash so need to convince players of the project.
  18. Possibly, or it may have been the delays in a) getting a confirmed budget and b) actually having the money come through. Probably a bit of all of these.
  19. Hull have just had their kit revealed by umbro and not on sale until 12/09.
  20. Primarily yes, but if you get a picture or video of Rovers fans and half are in the new shirt, if we release without the sponsor, the company miss their logo being shown dozens if not hundreds of times. Multiply across a season and that's thousands of times you expect your logo to appear
  21. That's fair enough but I don't think that'd be anywhere near close, especially if you then consider transfer fees and agent fees. £3m probably wouldn't cover our wages for the year.
  22. Be extremely surprised. Works out at less than 58k per week, which in turn isn't even 10 players on 6k per week.
  23. Let's lighten up the thread. Surely someone can come with a Kaminski chant to the chorus of Karma Chameleon?
