  1. Lots of credit going to Macron, but do they actually design the kits or is that Rovers? Given designs are in place around 12 months prior to release, doesn't that indicate Rovers actually design the shirt?
  2. Like the away kit, too much of the detail for my liking. Last season's rose was beautifully embedded and more subtle, this is all over the place.
  3. Just because designs are approved a year before, doesnt mean they get produced immediately. My interpretation of the statements from the club is that macron would have had shirts delivered, say, end of August but we negotiated/paid for a batch to be produced and delivered earlier. Macron have a massive portfolio, I doubt we are high up their priority list.
  4. Liverpool might be willing to negotiate a pay off with him, should he be willing to leave for a lower wage. As for us potentially paying him £20k, it's a great way to piss off the rest of the squad, especially if he doesn't justify being highest earner when he plays. Breaking the wage structure for Arma, BBD and to a lesser extent Lenihan would have been understood by the squad, they'd have earned that standing. Much harder to accept for a new signing unless it's a genuine marquee player.
  5. I may be wrong, but I believe you can still go on Rovers' Twitter or Instagram pages without being signed up to those sites
  6. Away shirt officially unveiled. Like the idea of the crest in the fabric, but too many of them for my liking, looks a bit messy
  7. I also tried this, with the same result. Gutted to get an email from macron this morning offering £10 off for leaving it in my basket!
  8. All sizes up to 4xl initially showed as available online
  9. The talk of Ayala playing up top got me thinking - could we have a xi of players completely out of position (joking aside for the likes of Pears in goal and Gally RW)? I can think of the following: GK - Smallwood, albeit forced. RWB - Dolan had a go there I believe. CB - Johnson False 9 - Johnson - double duty RW - Giles ST - Ayala Surely there's some more?
  10. Zebra was pretty bad. Probiz was awful, possibly worse than this.
  11. Reminds me of a quote attributed to Zlatan on Lukaku - said he'd give him £50 for every good first touch and never had to pay out. This encapsulated Roberts - incredible strength and decent pace but his finishing needed help
  12. All for trying something different but the forest one was too extreme for a halving of the colours. A smaller section of fade might work. There's other ways to try it - Atletico Madrid have wavy stripes next season, but I'm not sure a wavy line for the halved shirt would look good. Maybe a red pin stripe separating the halves? Dashes of the opposite colour on each half?
  13. Unsure but have you looked at the kids training range? If it is/was on that then I'd expect it on the shirts
  14. Plus wage increases to those who renewed - TK, Trav, Gally....
  15. A local sponsor is nice, although I actually see it as a sign of a club's declining appeal. Generally speaking, the lower down the league you go, the more likely you're to have local companies be your main sponsors. Vaping isn't an ideal sponsor, but I see it above gambling firms. Vaping can be positive, if it stops people smoking tobacco. But at the same time it could easily be a gateway to cigarettes. We've seemingly taken a financial hit by moving away from gambling firms. For those against Totally Wicked, would you accept a smaller budget and less competitive team if we had got another sponsor?
  16. Whilst his success rate is questionable he correctly called out the DoF appointment happening before the Head Coach and said it was imminent days before the DoF was unveiled
  17. A company isn't going to want to pay sponsorship for their logo not to be on the prime position. Any time a crowd shot or picture is shown, it's potentially dozens of ads for your brand. The sale of a few hundred more shirts wouldn't likely make up the difference in lost or reduced sponsorship funds if we went with no sponsor or negotiated to not have them on replica shirts.
  18. this will be why the club shop ran out of stock on lettering towards the end of the season - change to the font for the coming season EFL's Terrible Kit Font Is History - Footy Headlines
  19. Jokes aside, this could indicate the EFL are changing font again or we are not having red names/numbers
  20. Need to sort the manager situation out first. Whilst not impossible to make signings, can't imagine too many footballers (especially decent ones) would sign a contract without knowing who they're playing for.
  21. There seems to be some on here who are happy for TM to be going because they feel he has blown our chance at promotion. Were the same people seeking for him to extend his contract when we got into the top 6 and then top 2? Because that would appear to be the logical balance to wanting him gone due to us not making the play offs or better. Yes the drop off was awful. But the level of hatred and ill feeling certainly didn't seem balanced with positivity toward him when, quite frankly, we were over performing.
  22. I'd argue the pressure to get promoted from league 1 at the first attempt dwarfs the pressure of trying to get us into the prem. As bad as things are in some ways now, I dread to think how much worse they'd have been if we got stuck in the third tier for another year and perhaps beyond. This isn't excusing our post new year form, only pointing out the evidence of where pressure was handled well. Not to mention how we started that league 1 campaign somewhat indifferently, to put it mildly.
  23. For venkys to leave, we either go into administration or we get a buyer. Would ideally avoid the former. We'd be a much attractive purchase in the premier league. Its quite sad how wanting the team to be supported at games and not just behind screens is seen as trolling.
