  1. They may have meant it was due to be launched next week. The reply before yours ties in with the launch schedule which has previously been given by the club/local tabloids. Guess we'll see next week.
  2. Is it confirmed we don't have any stock yet? Just because they're not on sale doesn't mean we haven't received any. From what I remember isn't the home shirt on sale next week?
  3. So a way for the owners to keep injecting funds to keep us solvent, whilst remaining within what is allowed under the FFP rules? Otherwise we'd likely be under some form of sanction?
  4. For those of who don't have knowledge of shares etc, what does this mean on a practical level? More debt or not? More spending power potentially (although that seems peculiar given the shares allotment)?
  5. I'd rather we run away with a top 2 finish instead, given the choice!
  6. The fixture release has really brought home how many derby games have been lost compared to last season - 6. Unless we're towards the top of the league, our tv fixtures should be much reduced this season
  7. Another Macron effort, mileage will vary with this one. Looks like they're willing to try something different though.
  8. If that figure is correct, it's seems really poor (but difficult to fairly judge, without knowing the deals of other clubs in the same league). Found this article from a decade ago, suggesting £500k was the average for the league. With inflation, pandemic and cost of living, god knows what the level should be now. https://www.sportingintelligence.com/2013/08/21/revealed-championship-shirt-sales-outstrip-rest-of-big-5-second-tiers-combined-210801/
  9. I seem to recall Dafabet being said to be potentially 7 figures a season, so I'll go with 500k
  10. Nobody but there appears to be a perception that we should be getting a better sponsor (at least in brand, if not financially) than what we have. Leeds were used to illustrate that we are far from the biggest fish in the pond. I would love someone to logically illustrate what level of sponsorship we should be receiving, if its better than what we have.
  11. We have 14k in the stadium, and say 200k watch our games on TV. Leeds could have 35k in the stadium and 500k watching on TV, both nationally and internationally. Wrexham have sub 10k in the stadium and 30k watch their games on TV. But their documentary is watched by millions. Blackburn Rovers are not a huge opportunity as an advertising vehicle in the scheme of football. Bigger than the majority of clubs yes, but I would expect the sponsors of those clubs to be as unimpressive either financially or in their reputation. I don't particularly like having a vaping company on the shirt, but unless you can promise huge exposure, your options are going to be limited if you want to maximise the income from the deal.
  12. You're missing the point, whilst we may have been shown more than most if not all clubs, if there was hardly anyone watching the games, it's not much of a bargaining position.
  13. Relative to the division perhaps. But if audiences for those games aren't high, it's not much of an advertising opportunity. I don't have figures but I'd be surprised if viewers of championship games are even 20% of prem games, and that's before you consider international exposure. It links back to Wrexham getting United Airlines. Their owners have got those games available to watch widely in the USA and with the documentary being very, very popular globally, they provide a platform for exposure. Wouldn't be surprised if a Wrexham reference ends up the next Deadpool film either.
  14. For those commenting on the logo not looking great (which I agree with), do we think any team has ever walked away from a sponsorship deal just because the logo won't complement our shirts? I'd be very surprised. As for another point about the deal unlikely being massive financially - irrespective of how many times Rovers were on TV, they're not a big advertising vehicle. Viewership of Championship football will be relatively low, our attendances are low and there isn't a huge global fan base. It's hardly a strong bargaining position to get huge sums given to us.
  15. If it was this simple, why dont most of the EFL have these well known sponsors (and for all we know, they could be paying a relatively low amount)? It is as simple as having famous owners has generated a lot more interest in the club and therefore being able to attract such brands. Fair play to Deadpool, he and the co-owner have executed use of their popularity to perfection.
  16. I'd argue PSV's is as iconic as ours, and probably better known across Europe given they're regulars in the continental comps
  17. Macron Palace kit, possible clue to our template if not the details of the design
  18. Anyone know when the minutes are expected to be published? Thanks in advance
  19. MGP will obviously be aware of the 'bad eggs' we had involved in running the club. That he is willing to engage with the owners, seemingly on an ongoing basis last summer, would suggest he doesn't see them as being the cause of the club's decline.
  20. I wouldn't mind a fade into the middle but that one is a bit too prominent. Or perhaps thin, small pin stripe details of the opposite colour, like on a juventus away shirt a few seasons back.
  21. Along with this would you accept our reduced budget and therefore likely weaker squad?
  22. Annual thread awaiting details and leaks on the shirts. Can anyone confirm if we need a new sponsor for next season? Looking back to when TW was announced, can't find any details over the length of the agreement. Perhaps something which can be asked at the Fans Forum?
  23. This would make no sense given from Jan they could sign a pre contract agreement with no clause due to us.
