  1. Eye watering price for infant kits but appears to be across the board. England kitbon sports direct is £55 and Bradford city (also Macron) is £45. PNE £55.
  2. The neck label pretty much confirms the away shirt design. Nice touch on the inner band with the date. Collar is nicer than on the title shirt - always found it a bit too thick.
  3. There a macron size guide on the store site. An XL shirt for most manufacturers is around 44-48 inches on the chest, Macron works out at 42.5. size up one or two sizes, depending on the fit you like.
  4. I don't doubt we have little to no budget for transfers, all signs seem to point to it being the case. However, there does seem to be some hypocrisy when it comes to people's views on Elliot Jackson's work. There seems to have been a fair number of comments along the lines of him having no information about going ons at the club. Yet now he has published something which suits the narrative of the club having financial issues, very few of the same people are questioning his information.
  5. He's played 50 games in the Bundesliga with 11 goals and a dozen games in the Prem so a comparison purely on last season and age doesnt tell the full picture.
  6. The LET has an 'exclusive' on Dolan's contract today. Noting recent comments on the Rovers reporters they've had the article, in my view, is poor. Essentially outlines the state of play as being the same and then all the common sense scenarios people are generally aware of - could sign a better contract, leave for compensation in 12 months or go if we get a good bid. Hardly rocket science.
  7. As long as the pace on the wings has some quality and work rate. Let's not be bringing in a Sorba Thomas type.
  8. Venkys have been reading the book of football clichés and wondering why we've signed Hedges 4 times and Gally half a dozen times.
  9. The smart move would be to get it on sale on Friday or the very least Saturday and capitalise on people watching the Euros games in the bar
  10. Think it said week commencing, not on the 1st
  11. Was Oliver Burke in the Bundesliga? Cos that article has Broughton specifically saying a player from the Bundesliga had a medical but we couldn't complete the transfer
  12. O'Brien was a loan with the reported fee based on promotion. McGuire's initial agreed fee ok sure was reported as being closer to £2.5m. Irrespective of the above it does sound like there's some morally corrupt people in the club. Not surprising given Cole's story of getting shafted by SW.
  13. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23786661.gregg-broughton-explains-mystery-blackburn-rovers-medical/ We got a winger in for the medical last summer on deadline day. But then finances didn't allow it to complete.
  14. Didn't we have a bundasliga winger in last summer ready to be signed on deadline day, medical done etc and then it was said we didn't have the funds to complete it?
  15. Where have you got these figures from, genuinely? The last time I remember the club saying a deal was in the millions was dafabet and that was more along the lines of a 7 figure sum across multiple years. We've been out of the Prem for over a decade. How many comparable clubs i.e. those not in the prem in the last few seasons have nationally or internationally known sponsors? Don't get me wrong, the club might be able to do better with sponsors, but probably not by huge amounts. Even when we were in the prem or had recently dropped out, we had some naff deals and that was pre-waggott. Probiz anyone?!
  16. If you read the article it says the third shirt will be out the week prior to the away kit, so w/c 7th July
  17. If they land this it would be hard to doubt they're genuinely in the know. At face value, maybe it's a random piece that comes out by the end of the year where he's immediately gone and the shadowing turns out to be the handover period
  18. Genuine question. Out of our last 6 transfers largely believed to be under £1m each, which have turned out to be good. Or alternatively, how far back do we have to go to find 6 transfers under £1m which turned out to be good. Putting aside the argument of the quality you can get around this price range, this assumes all will come good, which isn't likely.
  19. Does anyone have figures from pre-venkys? I'm sure we ran at a loss under the Walker Trust - that's why they didn't want to continue to fund the club. We used to have to sell our best player nearly every season and re-invest, hoping for another player to breakout (Roque, Benni, Bentley, Warnock) to sell for good profit.
  20. £15 a ticket match by match is fine and affordable. As a 23 game commitment over 8 months...I can't imagine many people know they can make all of or the majority of games to keep the cost per match near that level
  21. Given this I can see why Rovers haven't lowered the price anymore. Yes there can be exceptions but ultimately it's the price of football overall which is the issue, not just the pricing at Rovers.
  22. I made no reference to the bus trips, I only highlighted there seems to be little sense in playing a team ten times further away from the same division to a more local side. Regarding Scottish opposition being decent preparation, that's subjective. Aside from the top 2, many would see the rest of the league as not being particularly competitive. You're also assuming they'd want Rovers for a friendly at home and seem to overlook the fact that Rovers, on a reasonably regular basis, bring top tier sides to ewood.
  23. Telling someone to grow up is, ironically, one of the most immature responses given when having a debate. I don't defend the club at every turn but don't expect you to have read all my posts (it'd be quite worrying if you had), but by the same turn you can't accurately say I defend the club on everything.
