  1. Don't disagree with them but they could easily put legislation in place to stop it. And we can go over the same arguments about advertising for gambling, alcohol etc etc
  2. For those who thought/think our shirts went on sale too late, Chelsea won't have any for sale until mid August. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66152580
  3. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sheffield-wednesdays-tone-deaf-ticket-8585440 The perspective of a couple of teams in the championship this coming season. It would appear Leeds isn't the team to worry about for away ticket pricing.
  4. Keeper top. Any chance this was mistaken for the away kit given the description we've had.
  5. Fully understand your annoyance it's quite an increase.
  6. If you mean specifically kids sizes costing more I'm not sure, but in terms of adult shirts, quite a few prem teams now charge £80 and that isn't for the player version either. As far as I know £55 is pretty much towards the cheaper end for adults now, and it's the same as Bradford City, another Macron team that launched their kit yesterday
  7. Not really the same comparison, they'd have to halve our shirt horizontally. now that would cause outcry.
  8. They've already said the majority of the stock arrives later in the month. I imagine they'll keep the majority of what they have for sale in the shop today - in a way it's easier to disappoint people online than those who come into the store. If sales aren't as high during the day as they anticipate, wouldn't be surprised to see some go online tonight/tomorrow
  9. They sold out online after about 10 mins. Which in one way is good to see demand, and I hope keeping some back for those who visit the store today, but on the other hand isn't great as they're clearly not going to meet online demand.
  10. It's nice. The light blue and adapted sponsor colours work nicely on it. Also a decent effort with the launch video, better than the signing efforts.
  11. Potential leak on Facebook? Seems to have the sky blue some have mentioned and is hinted in the club's teaser
  12. The club have confirmed release of the home kit tomorrow, coinciding with the change in opening hours at the store. Still no details of the shirt forthcoming though.
  13. Correct, it will be one of those. Perhaps we have the same source?
  14. For the first time, I will claim to be ITK: yes the home shirt will be blue and white. I await the inevitable adulation at providing this exclusive news.
  15. I'm not defending him, but whether or not something is expensive is relative. Nobody is forced to subscribe and should you choose to, you don't have to subscribe to absolutely every platform and service going. Each to their own. In our household we have sky sports and BT sport, we don't have Netflix/Amazon prime/Apple TV. I'm sure plenty would choose Netflix or whatever over sports based channels. Anyway, maybe the home shirt will be revealed today.
  16. Thought I'd entered a time warp with this kit, particularly given who is in the shirt.
  17. I don't know if you've read the article or misread it, the £24 is the amount that goes to the manufacturer. The cost to make - including labour and presumably overheads - is said to be £8. And just because a fake from the same factory is a third or so of the price doesn't mean it would be made to the same standard. This isn't me justifying the price by the way, just thought the article was relevant given the criticism to date and inevitable criticism when released.
  18. Interesting article on a few levels. No doubt when the kits are released some will be aghast with the price - doubt it'll be these levels. Guess would be £60 a shirt. And for those criticising our lack of release as yet - seems only half the prem teams have. https://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/football/article-12254755/Man-United-Arsenal-shirts-risen-price-14-cent-new-season.html
  19. To be fair, if Accy have a kit from their team wear range, then it isn't surprising to get stock earlier and get it on sale. Ours is said to be bespoke again, so can't just get a few boxes from the factory and stick the crest on. I also wouldn't class the first half of July as a late release, I seem to recall there being seasons where it wasn't even ready by the school holidays.
  20. They may have meant it was due to be launched next week. The reply before yours ties in with the launch schedule which has previously been given by the club/local tabloids. Guess we'll see next week.
  21. Is it confirmed we don't have any stock yet? Just because they're not on sale doesn't mean we haven't received any. From what I remember isn't the home shirt on sale next week?
  22. So a way for the owners to keep injecting funds to keep us solvent, whilst remaining within what is allowed under the FFP rules? Otherwise we'd likely be under some form of sanction?
  23. For those of who don't have knowledge of shares etc, what does this mean on a practical level? More debt or not? More spending power potentially (although that seems peculiar given the shares allotment)?
  24. I'd rather we run away with a top 2 finish instead, given the choice!
