  1. New walk out song: D generation X. Song after a win: Sexy Boy. Branthwaite was ahead of his time, tried sweet chin music at Boro.
  2. He scored 11 for a relegated side last season, none of which were penalties. It might be they created loads of chances and he should have scored many more, but it seems unlikely he'd have carried on being picked if that was the case.
  3. Has anyone seen a breakdown of Gueye's goal types from past seasons? I'd be amazed if they didn't include a fair number resulting from crosses. I'm not saying he'd be leading goal scorer if we put it in the mixer at every opportunity but we clearly don't play a style that suits his characteristics. At least if we bring him on when leading he can help out with the inevitable barrage into our box in the final 10/15 mins.
  4. Pickering marked his 300th league appearance with his first run in behind a defence
  5. Duffer for replacement if/when Eustace goes. Seemingly worked a miracle in the Irish league.
  6. It's a first world problem but surely the club realise it's not a good look. Can't be that hard for someone to bring in a sandwich platter, a few sausages rolls and a quiche.
  7. One of the reporters who covered the Swans game at the weekend made a comment on how Ewood Park is the only ground in the top 2 divisions where there's no food provided for the press - and even in league 2 you get biscuits! Not a huge thing in the scheme of things but a bit embarrassing and an indicator of how far the cost cutting has gone.
  8. Even if adult tickets were £250 and young adults £175 or £200, I think most of those who buy the incorrect ticket would still go with the cheaper option and try and get away with it. I don't buy the mindset being "I can't afford the higher price so I'll chance it on the cheaper", in most cases it's "I'm chancing it on the cheaper and hopefully don't get caught".
  9. Fully agree with the sentiment but the context of the clubs is vastly different. 2m is hardly anything to elite clubs like Bayern, whereas to Rovers it would be 10% of the annual losses (based on the £20m figure which keeps getting used). A better comparison would be Villa milking their fans for UCL tickets at £70-£100
  10. I can see what you mean but I think they've taken that tone as there'll no doubt be some who think the club are being unreasonable - what's a few hundred/thousand quid to them etc.
  11. Saturday's team based on tonight: Toth, duru, carter, batth, hedges, JRC, tronstadt, ACD, Cantwell, siggy, mak.
  12. Pears might just have given the reason for Toth to be given the shirt on Saturday
  13. Pickering putting in a Sunday league performance so far
  14. Happens at the biggest clubs too. Last season's authentic Arsenal shirt had a tape on the inside with the results of their invincibles season. Keep in mind it cost well over £100 and didn't feature on the replica shirt version - it didnt have all 38 results, was missing about 6 from what I remember
  15. You've lost your bet
  16. How nice to see Ewood full to capacity again and having been given a clean up! I gave up on seeing our home in the game and stopped playing a couple of years ago. They've done a decent job of creating the digital version.
  17. ST pricing will always be difficult to balance. If as noted in the minutes we were the only club in the league to reduce pricing then clearly slashing prices is a punt none of the 24 were willing/needed to take. It's been discussed loads before but if we halved the price would we really double attendance? No guarantee. Yes income would increase for other match day revenue but so does extra cost such as security/staffing. A bigger crowd also doesn't necessarily result in better results - Bolton and Bradford didn't get promoted despite home support likely amongst the best within their leagues.
  18. It would be awful man management to drop Pears at the moment. He's, dare I say it, in form. You don't drop any in form player. Rest them for a cup tie, sure, but not put someone else in their place for an important game.
  19. Let's appeal Bucko's red card now, highlighting the inconsistency. Wasn't that Boro game the season we finished 7th on goal difference? Christ if that red card cost us a point/2 more....!
  20. Anyone remember Bucko's pathetic red card for bouncing the ball off the opposition player? No VAR intervention and he wasn't booked, wonder if there'll be a retrospective red? Probably not. https://x.com/ManCity/status/1837965092102852659
  21. Before the game would have taken a point. More disappointing the lack of chances created especially when a man up. On the flip side, could see us losing that in the last couple of seasons. Getting a point when not playing well is a step in the right direction and it's back to back clean sheets.
  22. I don't disagree he's had a poor half. He was a post width away from being a hero again though. Fine lines. I'd give him 10 mins or so to see if he can have a more positive impact.
  23. Something thrown at whiteman as he was taking the corner, a lighter maybe
  24. A week ago he was getting praised and assisted the second
  25. That'll be another fine heading our way due to moronic followers in the stands
