Has it been deleted or am I just dumb and looking in the wrong place ?
  2. Does your mum do the lottery TS? It seems she has a certain skill at predictions! Talking about bad results for England, who did she predict in the England-Scotland game in 1967? That was a real highlight.
  3. I can't disagree with you on that score, but I also cannot forget how we fans were vilified by Moyes because of voicing our displeasure with K***n.
  4. Well done to Callum, but I bet the Nobbers will be in for him before anyone at Ewood woke up to the fact.
  5. Just look how classy that shirt is, even the cuffs are reversed to the sleeves, and why are long sleeved shirts not made these days ? The thing that gets my goat now is the sight of some soft arse wearing a short sleeve shirt with bloody gloves!!!
  6. Not cheap enough for me Gav. Only 1/3d when I was a kid
  7. Tool room in ‘O’ Building. Served my time there and indeed was a great place to work. So many skilled men all now gone after being thrown on th scrap heap.
  8. Thanks to Gav for the nostalgic pics. Brought back lots of happy memories although I’m not quite old enough to have had the jab yet. A couple of weeks yet. This is just the best thread on here.
  9. Maybe it’s Bukta. There won’t be many on here who had a shirt of that manufacture.
  10. Did your relative with close links to PNE happen to mention that Neill would be managing Rovers because the Nobb End faithful cannot stand the bloke?
  11. Another great player gone. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55551720
  12. Albert Einstein was certainly a genius but his brother Frank was a totally different kettle of fish.
  13. I agree that Ainsworth would fully understand the problems at the club, but does anyone honestly think that Venkys would appoint someone who comes from the same mould as us folk. They would be scared to death that the truth would be laid bare regarding their tenure. Always will be a yes man while they’re at the helm of this rudderless ship.
  14. Yes a nice touch that. The days when people within the club had a brain and cared, that’s the difference to now.
  15. That’s the problem with Mowbray he keeps quoting stats that are supposed to show how good the team performed and how unlucky they were in defeat. Unfortunately Tony this game only ever revolves around putting the ball in the opponent’s onion bag and not allowing it to go into ours. Wake up you dinosaur.
  16. In the early days of the beautiful game, many players wore caps
  17. One thing that photo should do is stop all the arguments about which side of the shirt should be blue and which side should be white.
  18. Totally agree TS I also felt privileged to have seen him and proud that he played for the Rovers. I also never saw a better centre half in the following 45 years.
  19. Hit the nail on the head there 4000. Fred Pickering was a huge loss but an even bigger loss was Mike England. Without any sense of over reaction, he was probably one of the best centre halves in the World. Fred left for Everton in 1964 and Mike went to Spurs in 1966, the year that we were relegated. Even though Bryan Douglas played another three years, he was a marked man by the mid to late 60’s and was injured quite often, mainly because he was kicked from pillar to post.
  20. I always liked the 1970 Brazil team, probably the best team I ever saw.. it would have been interesting to have known your dad’s view on that. Happy birthday to your dad. I hope he may be looking down with my dad who would also have been 85 and having a good laugh at the prima donnas that we have to put up with these days
