I agree but some of the money absolutely has to be reinvested in the squad. We have 1 fit senior centre back and only Gallagher and BB upfront, who won't score as many as AA did between them. The money is likely to fall into a black hole and we'll be just chucking some U23 players in.

This is my main concern. If he goes to Palace, we'll get no player, just cash that dissappears into the Venky black hole. There won't be a replacement and our season will be an even bigger struggle than it already was. As it stands, assuming AA leaves for Palace, we are in very real trouble of being relegated.

Although I think the club want cash only, I do think £15m + a player on a permanent deal is the best we could get. Gives us a player to cover the loss of Armstrong (in terms of bodies) and some money. If we sell and get no one, we are looking at Gallagher or an under 23 upfront all season. And we already know Gallagher isn't that great.

Really gaining some more traction now. Norwich, Southampton and Palace all linked with a move. First and foremost, the owners, Waggot, cheston or whoever just want the money. We aren't spending any money this window. Mowbray has already said we are only looking at loans and has said he doesn't think he'll get any money from the Armstrong sale to spend.

I think the team, in the main picks itself (for me anyway) 4-3-3 formation. Back 5 picks itself (assuming Ayala gets out of the treatment room) 1 place left for either Buckley or Davenport in the middle 3, Trav and Rothwell the other starters. 1 place left in the front 3 for either Dolan or Gallagher, with Arma and Diaz as the other 2. I think he'll start Gallagher on the wing, which will just bring back all the frustration of last season in game 1.

How can they have so much money and end up putting us in league one? They could and should be paying good people to run this club effectively.

Regarding Arma, I don't think anyone is willing to pay the £15-£20m we were expecting. Sounds like Watford have ended their pursuit him and Southampton haven't been back. No doubts, he will be bundled out of the door last minute for a knockdown fee to someone. We already know we aren't getting any money to reinvest in the squad.

I don't want us to sign a load of kids on loan but that's basically what he's said he will be doing. We really need some experienced players for the squad though.

WBA confirm the signing of Reach. Our one and only transfer rumour is now officially over. I guess we look forward to loaning a load of kids from prem clubs.

I hope he is getting sacked but it would make absolutely no sense to sack him 6 games in after giving him the summer window and preseason. Also, what if he won all 6?
