I'm fairly certain that's what Cardiff and Fulham fans said about Whittingham and Murphy. He could turn out as a decent enough signing but we are right to be skeptical based on past signings.

Not really the first signing i was hoping for (if it happens) He'll be here for 1 season and all he will do is take away game time to younger, more long term prospects. Mowbray seems to like having older players around, i'm guessing he would be looking at Downing to bring his experience to the training ground/dressing room etc.

We won't be signing Andy Carroll anytime soon. Despite him barely kicking a ball over the last few years, he will expect a huge wage.

Not sure i see any benefit in signing Downing. 35 (nearly) and would only serve to restrict game time to younger players (Chapman, Rothwell, Travis) whilst taking a reasonably hefty wage.

I can't see either Boro or Swansea coming in for Mowbray. I'm not sure if he'd even go to Swansea. You would think Boro would appeal to him but Hughton would be the obvious appointment for them if he wants to get straight back into work.

Mowbray did publicly criticise Raya at one point. It was probably just to give him a boot up the backside but you never know, maybe he has run out of patience with him. I wouldn't sell him, he's young and has room to improve over time. It's just if we are prepared to see his development through or if we want to sell and go and buy a more experienced/established keeper.

Why on earth would we be in discussions with Gladwin? Absolutely no reason at all to keep him. Surprised about Leutwiler, likely means we are keeping Raya as number 1 next season with him as back up. So can't see us signing another keeper. Conway should be released but always felt like TM would want to keep him around.
