That's not really a great saying. I mean, everyone's different, handle pressure differently etc. Just because someone might have the ability (or potential ability) to play at a certain level doesn't necessarily mean they will be able to perform at that level at the age of 16/17. Some will be able to, for sure but not all. You can't just tar everyone with the same brush and expect it to work.

Goes without saying that beer and footballers (and abysmal "managers") are not a good mix.

I think we did ok today. They had chances but ultimately it took a soft pen (but it was a pen) to get them level. Travis superb again. Newcastle have some sh*t in their reserve squad, wouldn't expect that starting 11 to do well in the championship.

Would be neither Evans or Smallwood for me. We should be signing someone better. Centre mid has been abysmal for us for a long time. Reed is a class above and hopefully Travis will be in time, although I expect some bumps in the road along the way.
