  1. 3-0 comfortable home win i think.
  2. Of course that's what journos do. Jacksons opinion is irrelevant really but the point still stands, we've been here before and most people could see the writing on the wall after the game yesterday. It's not a guarantee by any means but we all know Venkys are highly unlikely to sanction any transfers in January, I'm sure Gestede is already on record as saying it will be loans only in January. No ones committing hara-kiri, it's just a collective sigh that we know what's most likely to happen. Let's see what happens in January but I'm not holding my breath that the required reinforcements will be arriving.
  3. Wasn't really an overreaction, we've been here before.
  4. Honestly, I think the entire championship will be trying to sign him. If Villa have now recalled him, they will already have someone lined up. 100% he won't be coming here.
  5. We'll bring in a couple of unheard of loans, they'll barely play and we'll spend the rest of the season being "within touching distance" of the playoffs but actually getting slowly further away.
  6. No way. Brittain is far better than JRC at right back.
  7. Saved by the post and the offside flag
  8. Leonard on, to rescue us again?
  9. 0 - 1 down and instead of responding, we're getting dicked more.
  10. If we can get Leonard, Ohashi and Gueye all scoring across 2 games, I think we'll have done well to get confidence up and competition for places intensifying in our 3 strikers. 🤞here's hoping he can bag a goal.
  11. I'd probably suggest Danny Batth would be the first name on the "to be rested" list but I'm sure we have medical/sports science/fitness teams that manage players workloads/training etc. to prevent burn outs/fatigue. I can't imagine they are doing much training over the festive period.
  12. I think it's inevitable that we will fall away at some point. That's no disrespect to the manager or the squad, Eustace is getting a lot out of what he has available, it's just what he has available isn't all that great. When the injuries and suspensions start to bite, the squad depth will be tested. Full credit to the job he's doing i just can't see how he'll get us over the line without a few additions in January but we all know it'll be a loan or 2 at best.
  13. Ansley Pears has taken his fair share of stick (from me as well) but that save was superb and he gets MOTM from me for that alone. We really did try our best to throw that away at the death, wtf were we doing for that counter?
  14. Take a fucking bow Ansley Pears
  15. He seems to be doing all the things you wouldn't expect really well (tracking back, winning the ball etc.) But all the things you'd expect him to do (passing, threading one through, putting in a dedrnt cross) he's been shite at.
  16. Not much left on the bench to bring in and change a game either.
  17. Gotta make some changes JE, we've lost the grip on this game completely now.
  18. 2 really poor goals to concede.
  19. Brilliant from Ohashi right from kick off.
  20. Hedges and Dolan showing exactly why they are so polarising. Moments of good work, undone by poor decisions a few mins later. Overall, a good half from us and we are now starting to frustrate Sunderland and forcing the game into a scrappy affair, which suits us.
  21. Merry Christmas Rovers fans! Hope you've all had a good one!!
  22. It does happen but if he's that good surely a new manager would prefer to keep him around when the squad isn't that great. I'll bow to your superior knowledge on this one though. Hopefully he comes in and does the job. Wasn't that long ago that plenty on here were calling Trav a league one clogger tbf. But yep, it was a terrible decision to let him go out on loan but with the hierarchy we have here, it's not a surprise tbh.
