  1. True, but which is more likely, Forest or our dysfunctional club?
  2. If this is the case then it's an indictment on everyone at the club involved in the transfer process In a normal club heads would roll
  3. Come off it matey. It's bleedin' obvious we need at least 3 quality players in to sustain a promotion push
  4. The silence is deafening. It looks like there's been a problem and we may not even get O'Brien, never mind a new striker. This isn't how it should be when the club (for the 2nd successive season) is in a good position in the league and has the chance to have a serious go at the play-offs. You only have to conclude the club doesn't t really want promotion and/or the people running are just plain incompetent. What shambles Hope the above is all wrong .
  5. Luton beat Cardiff tonight - up to 3rd in the table Luton were non-league not that many years ago Fucking Luton Shows what's possible with a bit of ambition
  6. A good quality signing on the face it - but he isn't enough. We need more
  7. Nixon's "major swoops" are usually the stuff of literary legend In the fiction department
  8. 6 hours 30 minutes or thereabouts until the window closes Would someone put the cat out and lock up for the night at Ewood please?
  9. 1990s. Roy Keane ready to sign for Rovers Office closed for the weekend. Jobsworth security only on the door Fergie nips in and Keane joins United
  10. Probably not a bad idea. Their squad if far too big and there'll be alot of disgruntled reasonable quality players who will be looking for a move.
  11. "We are on earth do we bother" is a good question We're thinking of going to the cup replay tonight but we should we bother really when the club says it's not that bothered about making the play-offs and presumably feels the same way about the FA Cup too You keep going out of habit and because you love the club and the game and the excitement it sometimes brings but "bothering" is getting harder as the years go by Clubs that can't be bothered also don't plan for transfer windows and usually end up scrambling around at the 11th hour trying to bring in players they didn't really want just to appease supporters desperate for "signings" Why do we bother getting upset by all this? Increasingly it doesn't make any sense so in the end people give up and walk away
  12. There is an upside to this farago. Tomasson leaving next week should lighten up the wage bill.
  13. Yes, I'll be going to Leicester if we can overcome Brum. Poor draw though - wanted Fleetwood or Wrexham at home
  14. Away to Leicester if we manage to beat the Blues. Could have been Wrexham or Grimsby or Fleetwood but we get a Premier League club away
  15. I wouldn't say you were bad, just mistaken 28 hours until the window closes..... any news?
  16. Gluttons as we are for punishment our group is thinking of making the trip to the replay. Does anyone know if we can pay on the gate?
  17. Wouldn't be a surprise. I'm sure this farce isn't the sales pitch he was given when he joined the club
  18. Less than 36 hours to go to the deadline and here we are again, scrambling around at the bottom of the barrel hoping to get "someone (anyone) in" Same as the last transfer window, and the one before that, and the one .... Tomasson getting a lesson in how this club operates
  19. It's in the second half of the season where the strong show their mettle. This season is playing out exactly the same as last season. Good start but squad / manager not good enough to sustain it. And lack of transfer activity in January
  20. Would Broughton know who and what you're talking about?
  21. Same reason as last season - it's a false position.
  22. Don’t bank on any of them. I’d say two striker is a priority. Gallagher needs to be written off as a bad job, Brereton it’s plain has his mind on Spain and there’s no one else’s really.
  23. Disappointed about that. We won’t be in the playoffs so am hoping for a good cup run. Fingers crossed for the replay and at least we’re in the draw
  24. Brereton has been off form - perhaps this Spain move has been weighing on his mind? On the other hand he lost form in the 2nd half of last season, albeit after a bad injury. I'm optimistic now his future is settled he'll put his tripe out in the last few months at Ewood. He seems a genuinely nice lad who's enjoyed his time with us and he'll want to do the right thing and give the fans a reason to remember him in the right way by banging in a few goals
