  1. You're telling me. You have to hand it to Nathan Jones. After a dull first half he just told his side to get in our faces and we duly capitulated. Ayala does my head in ..... almost all the pressure came on us because he likes poncing about with the ball at the back. Kaminski is as bad It took us to about the 70th minute to get in their half
  2. Hirst is a poor man's Jack Vale.
  3. This Absolute madness those first 20 minutes of the second half Ayala and Wharton and Kaminski brought that defeat on us And JDT for letting them do it Luton raised their game for a short period and we caved in The rest of the 90 minutes was a load of nothingness I feel more depressed than after the Reading game
  4. Well there you go..... should have put money on it A depressing day Rovers were depressing Kenilworth Road was depressing Luton the town they forgot to bomb (come Armageddon) is depressing Today was as bad as anything under Mowbray More thougths later
  5. Or it could indicate that thousands of Rovers fans have gone to that there Lunnun to pay their "respects" to Her Maj, a well known Rovers supporter Or more likely they haven't
  6. Nottingham Forest Cooper certainly cannot complain he hasn’t been given the backing of the owners. It’s up to him now to mould a team capable of staying in the Premier League. Cooper said tonight it’s a ruthless league and he’s finding out the hard way
  7. McNamee with Glenn Keeley or maybe Alan Hunter would have been a great centre half combination - forwards would have cried off injured before the game rather than face them
  8. Pukki is too good for the Championship and not good enough for the Premier League Tony working his magic for Sunderland😀
  9. Which Rovers will show up..... the team that can look like strong promotion contenders such as on Tuesday night or the team that at times looks like it could get relegated? Luton are a tough outfit to play against and this Rovers team has been thoroughly bullied by the likes of Reading and Sheffield United in recent away games so this will a very difficult game. Rovers need to show that they can stand and fight against aggressive, hard tacking teams I'll be optimistic and go 1-1 WARNING * WARNING * WARNING * Jim the Albatross will be attending and I haven't seen us win away for a long, long time
  10. Brereton's game and his strength is running with the ball from deep - not sure how that fits in with the manager's philosophy
  11. Tom Lawrence has had a decent career, scored alot of goals with Derby, now at Rangers. Seems to remember him missing a sitter against Burnley, the year they did the double over us, though could be mistaken
  12. I'll have a go. Shame only 11,803 were present to witness an excellent performance.
  13. I was hedging my bets on him when he first arrived but now I've come off the fence: he's a good addition to the squad
  14. Point of order: a 7-0 defeat is a "result", albeit not a good one.
  15. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see anything other than a defeat tonight Watford haven't won away yet but then neither had Bristol City until they came to Ewood Rovers are and always have been very kindly towards teams in poor form or in need of a win Rovers 0 Watford 2
  16. Oh no..... a long term project. Mowbray had one of those too. Great if they work out, but they rarely do because managers have a limited shelf life and get found out sooner rather than later. I'd wager that Tomasson won't be here in 3years
  17. The S Africa series has been a farce. Australia and India are probably the only true Test nations now, two teams with batsmen prepared to fight for every wicket ands slug it out over 4 days or more. RIP Test cricket
  18. Another rubbish Test and another rubbish series. Matches over within 3 days, one side or the other dominating or capitulating, poor quality batting and poor cricket. Test matches should be games of attrition, the team with the greatest willpower, mental toughness, technique and endurance prevailing over 5 days of hard fought cricket. The one day mentality has killed the best form of the game. What we are witnessing more and more is not Test cricket.
  19. Sukur was in the Rovers team when a friend was the Rovers mascot and we were invited into the dressing room before the game. Shook his hand! Top class player in his pomp
  20. Might have been mentioned earlier but anyone remember Yordi, a big Spanish striker? Only played 8 times but one appearance was as a sub in the 2002 League Cup triumph. A strange signing but he will remember his short time with Rovers
  21. Sinclair has apologised only for the timing of the tweet, not the content. His comment was stupid and wrong and he should be given the boot
  22. Chelsea sack Tuchel. Another manager who had a Project. These guys have a limited shelf life and is why the idea of Tomasson’s Project, like Mowbray’s, is wrong. Results in the here and now are what matter, not projects that may of may not work in a volatile ever changing industry
  23. If bringing back Szmodics is seen as the answer I’m not sure if people understand what the problem is. I’ve never been as underwhelmed by a signing since the last underwhelming signing. And we paid about £2m for him apparently. This is becoming Mowbray-esque. ….. juggling around a set of inadequate players albeit with a different cast
  24. “Next year Rodney we’ll all be millionaires”. Del Boy had a long term project but in the end he got lucky. We need to get lucky with a good manager. The signs aren’t good.
  25. I don’t understand why you’re confident of 3 points in view of our terrible record against them and our inability to compete with hard battling teams like Wigan. It’s another likely defeat I’m afraid
