  1. 😄 They're a bit slow in East Anglia
  2. I'm rubbing my eyes at the moment - I can't believe we're in the top 2 - because I haven't seen us win a game yet (warning: I'm thinking of going to the Coventry match) and witnessed some truly dire performances as bad as anything under Mowbray Yet here we are sitting pretty in the league, winning games we should be losing so Tomasson must have something going for him - maybe he's just lucky as I mentioned before? It's a long old season though and I want to see some good signings in January (unlike last year) to show that we really are committed to a promotion push On Allardyce, the man was a very good Premier League manager for us and my gut, sick feeling in my stomach when he was sacked was that it was the worst possible move the new owners could make and that it would be the end of us as a top flight club. It was
  3. He's an excellent poster - I'm just asking him to stop predicting easy Rovers wins (contradictory phrase, let's face it), not the moderators
  4. I really wish you wouldn't do this. You've been asked so many times no to - least of all because it nearly always ends badly for Rovers and you end up looking silly - again It's not clever or funny. Please desist
  5. Fair play to the QPR manager/coach. There's not much loyalty or integrity in football these days so it's unusual to see someone turn down the chance to manage in the Premier League at a bigger club when it is offered. He's obviously got QPR playing well and at the top of the league and his staying there will give them a big boost and doesn't help us or any of the other promotion-chasing teams
  6. Sunderland's next game at home to Burnley. They didn't get the rub of the green against us so let's hope they get some luck in the next one Black Cats 2 Mongrels 0
  7. Let’s face it, if that penalty decision had been us we’d have felt aggrieved too. Most refs would have given it. It’s the rub of the green; we’ve had some bad decisions against us over the years. Perhaps Tomasson is a lucky manager? We’ve been abysmal in the games I’ve seen this season yet we’re top of the league!
  8. Brereton worked very hard and scored a great goal but dearie me, he needs to work at playing a better final ball and weighting and timing his passes better. He should have set up at least 3 chances in the last 15 minutes but fluffed it every time
  9. Brereton mucked it up again there
  10. His final pass has been poor so many times Good goal though
  11. Brereton sometimes plays like an amateur
  12. That was a Sunderland penalty.... we'd be screaming blue murder the other way round
  13. I'd take Garrett off, he's one young player too many in this team and he looks overawed by it. Brittain can play anywhere because he's a good footballer but left back isn't like right back and he gets his angles wrong. They've sent in some dangerous crosses from his side
  14. Brittain's a good player.... Szmodics isn't
  15. Gallagher is in donkey mode tonight
  16. Brilliant goal but Sunderland should have had a penalty
  17. I'm not surprised. I predicted months ago somewhere on the messageboard (maybe this thread, can't remember) you'd be easy top 6. It's not a strong division and the fact a misfiring team like Rovers are within reach of the top shows there's a lack of quality. Should be an interesting encounter at the Turf next month!!
  18. I don't read newspapers so it's not true Who says JHR is correct? ... and so on
  19. The newspaper who don't read (all of them) See previous post from JHR
  20. Which newspaper? Who says he's earning too much?
  21. 1. It was in the newspaper 2. He's earning too much
  22. When he was in the mood Rothwell was a dangerous attacking player. No many players have the ability to take the ball past opponents from deep. I'd like to have seen him play at Ewood under a different manager who either believed in him more or was prepared to crack the whip. We'll never know now but on his day when he's playing well he's been missed
  23. A decent number nine scores easy headers
