  1. Swansea are struggling so it's not a must win but it's a game we need to win and ought to win if we're serious about maintaining promotion momentum It would be nice to win at a canter too so that key players can be substituted and rested Our thin squad is going to have to be managed very carefully
  2. As seems likely, a big loss to the game and England. Top quality player in the making. Another Adam Johnson, too much money, too young, too much sense of entitlement, particularly towards women.
  3. The management at Rovers taking all day to get one loan over the line is similar to the incompetence that allowed Man United to steal Roy Keane from under our noses back in the 1990s. Amateurs is too kind a word
  4. Question: Does the January window closing prevent us signing any players from now to the end of the season, or can we sign players from say, league 2 or leagues outside the UK?
  5. You don't have to be a one-eyed Rovers fan to see that we've outperformed all expectations this season Are we in a false position given our resources? If we're honest, we probably are Our lack of player numbers and quality will eventually count over 40 plus games
  6. Hedges make his debut at the Hawthorns Love it! I hope he's a prickly character
  7. Sooner or later, some of our key players are going to get injured or suspended and we just don't have the back-up to replace them Those criticising Parker are missing the point; Bournemouth have so many good players they will go up regardless
  8. This feels like a turning point In the highly unlikely event that we get through to the end of the season without any injuries / suspensions or loss of form by key players we could still make the play-offs If we do get any of the above I think we'll slowly slip down the league It's a shame because with 2 or 3 top signings we could have had a good go at the top 2 from where we stand. As it is, I don't think we have a cat in hell's chance now
  9. Who'd know Butterworth wasn't on the field? The lad fills a shirt and that's about it
  10. Sums it up really You can't dress it up.... it's been a poor effort for a club 2nd in the league but in dire need of more (quality) players
  11. Why? Over-rated, over-hyped, over-injured.
  12. We need another forward desperately. If we were serious about promotion Dembele should have been in our sights
  13. Dembele signing for the Cherries has confirmed my view that we'll be fighting for a top 6 place and not the top 2. Could well see Bournemouth catching Fulham from here
  14. *Chaddy Newsflash* The late Chaddy, formerly of this parish, was last seen checking into a Messageboard Trauma Unit after posting on another site where everyone agreed with him Staff in a statement said his condition was treatable and in time he would make a full recovery.
  15. Lingard's not getting a game at ManU Or Salah might be tempted. Is that serious enough?
  16. ..... on his holidays I'm sure he'll enjoy it. As a footballer, highly unlikely
  17. Giles seems to have a good left peg on him to judge from videos. And he can take a decent corner and free kick Which will be a novelty
  18. Random photos mean little No one is smiling back at Rothwell And Tony is probably smiling because he's just a had a portfolio revaluation from his pensions adviser
  19. One rookie who will play in the u-23s, one an unknown from abroad, one injured for the rest season, one a cheapie who struggled to impress in Scotland, and the other a loanee who hasn't arrived Some folk are easily pleased Compare and contrast to Bournemouth
  20. Gone over to the dark side
  21. Not really the point, which is Bournemouth now have a bigger squad of quality players. Ours is paper thin - and it only takes injuries and / or loss of form and we've no one else to step up. The Luton match was a case in point
  22. Three of those are very good players who will make a difference, turn draws into victories Bournemouth showing how it should be down to get over the line. Second automatic spot has been decided
  23. I can’t see how Rothwell can be assimilated back into the squad after everything that’s gone on Best course for Rovers would be to ship him off to Chicago
  24. Bournemouth obviously very active and doing exactly the right thing to strengthen and make sure they get over the promotion line I would say the 2nd automatic promotion spot will be decided today
