  1. Any other manager except Mowbray would have done the same. Warnock's a winner. Mowbray isn't
  2. A road in the town is to be named after our Fred
  3. Well, you win promotion by winning ugly..... and that was ugly
  4. "Klopp is a big fan of how Rovers play"...... commentator
  5. Gaps appearing in our defence. Goal coming
  6. Hardly surprising when you defend deep and struggle to get in your opponent's half
  7. I see Dyche's "boring" team are winning away in the cup
  8. The bonus from that half is that we're not losing Overall very poor, second to nearly every ball, no shape or cohesion One defensive mistake and it's all over
  9. Mowbray has to realise that before we can play our "good football" we have to impose ourselves on teams. At the moment we're just chasing shadows
  10. Top football this ......and someone said fans wouldn't stand for Dyche brand of football
  11. It's odd this season - the way we came flying out of the blocks at the start, demolishing teams and looking like world beaters. It was so unlike Tony's teams and you'd almost think that Rovers frightened him into thinking we might just have a chance of promotion here - hang on, I'd better go back to plan A and rein in expectations by mucking around with the team. You have to say it worked./
  12. I said he was paid too much, nothing more.
  13. I said he was paid too much - which isn't calling him for him to be sacked. Can't you read or don't you understand basic Janet and John English?
  14. He's a Middlesbrough man and Boro fan remember. Probably clouds his view of where Boro should be. It's the same old from Tony. Best not to read it.
  15. I said he was paid too much .... which at the time he was I've stopped replying to your posts because you make things up and have nothing worthwhile to say...... the above is one reason why
  16. Years ago Charlton fans got "bored" with Alan Curbishley keeping them mid-table in the Prem and look where they are now. Same with our fans who were bored with Sam keeping us in the top league. I've never in 50 years plus gone to watch Rovers wanting to be "entertained". I want to see us win - full stop. I find this argument quite ridiculous. I'd have the likes of Dyche or Sam or Warnock at Ewood tomorrow.
  17. They've been a problem as long as Mowbray has been at the club. He doesn't know how to coach defenders or set up a defence properly.
  18. Good one Rev, I think it's far more likely they'll be celebrating India superb cricket victory in Australia than their half-forgotten English football club.
  19. Well played India - a brilliant effort. Never expected that. It's always gratifying to see the convicts lose at any sport - especially on their own middin
  20. Yep, a set-piece move straight off the training ground but which seem to catch us out time and time again, and yet we rarely score against the opposition. When did we last score with a free header from a corner? It's clear Mowbray doesn't realise that opponents have these set pieces moves in their armoury and sets the defence up to combat them, and neither does he get Rovers practising them for us to score. Just another example of him over-thinking the line-ups and formations yet not getting the basics right
  21. Unbelievably soft goal, and it's not unusual is it? Nyambe was the culprit this time, but the entire defence have always been doing it under Mowbray. It's basic marking, basic defending....it just shouldn't happen.
  22. The old Millwall Den was genuinely frightening. Went there a few times, situated in the middle of a railway triangle in deepest sarf London. Ramshackle is being kind to it - it's one of the few grounds I visited where the terraces were literally crumbling away with lumps of concrete lying around. The crowd were "hostile" to say the least - mostly old dockers, who hated the ref, presumably because he represented a figure of authority, even more than they they hated the opposition, and young skinheads. It was one of the few places I went where I never wore a Rovers scarf.
  23. When the right players are on the pitch and they get the bit between their teeth like the last 15 minutes then we look a decent side. Mowbray seems incapable of getting it right from the first minute
  24. 1-1 against an average team is such a Tony Mowbray scoreline.
