  1. Just listen to your Uncle JIm.
  2. The match is panning out more of less as I thought. India will make around 300 or more and we'll be battling to avoid an innings defeat Mid afternoon tomorrow could see it all over
  3. Chris Rush: “Although I will leave the club at the start of March I am very positive about the direction the club is taking. Under Tony Mowbray, the club has been transformed since relegation to League One in 2017. The performance environment he has built can only contribute to any future success." No comment required
  4. Me too. Went to Craven Cottage the year we went down to League One and Fulham ran him ragged at left back. No pace and positional sense terrible. He did a decent job at centre half I thought
  5. Even though India struggled, with our batting I never thought at any point we'd win that Test. 81 all out in the 2nd innings proved it. Unless Root or Stokes make big scores in the 2nd innings we're heading the same way in this Test.
  6. At what point in the 3rd Test did we "put ourselves in a position to win"? Reminder: we were bowled out for 112 and 81. Just seen the "highlights". By all accounts it's a good pitch so India's batsmen will be disappointed not to make 350. Can we make 140 to avoid an innings defeat? Unlikely
  7. All managers are a gamble to some extent but it's odd that they were shown the door at Huddersfield so soon. What was the reason? And if they are so highly regarded why have been out of work for the past 8 months? My biggest regret is that the likes of McCarthy, Warnock, Pearson and Allardyce have all been available over the past 12 months or so. I'd have welcomed any of them to the club.
  8. What's the enthusiasm for the Cowleys? They didn't last 5 minutes at Huddersfield
  9. Barnsley on a great run, like Reading a very limited side but pragmatic, well organised, with a good manager. Contrast with our passing/possession-obsessed manager and fragile, under-performing team
  10. Meanwhile at the other end of the table mighty Barnsley now in top 6 as it stands
  11. England will need one player to play an extraordinary innings - like Root's in the first Test - to break the bunker mentality and mindset. I think defeat is inevitable. Which is more depressing at the moment - England cricket, England rugby or Rovers?
  12. I was looking at our bench last night and one word summed them up - deadbeats. Deadbeats are people who have been in a job a long time, have nothing left to give, are going through the motions and aren't going anywhere and are seeing our their little remaining time until they are given the sack they know is coming or their looming retirement date. We're being managed by a bunch of deadbeats
  13. Older "dinosaurs" (your word) such as Pulis are often bracketed with McCarthy, Warnock, Allardyce etc. While I'm not keen on Pulkis either, I'd welcome the other 3 with open arms. Pragmatic tough managers who get results are exactly what we need.
  14. Like Mick McCarthy and Neil Warnock ?
  15. Championship managers all do this now. Let us have the ball because we're not going to threaten their goal. Rinse and repeat
  16. Lift and dust We're getting nearer to that territory now
  17. One point out of bleeding 21, and losing to a rubbish goal like that. Get out Mowbray
  18. Nyambe's playing very well, our best player, wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Premier League soon
  19. 80 mins gone and we still haven't seriously threatened their goal Nice passing though
  20. It's payday tomorrow. Another £100k in the bank
  21. Why is Dack playing so far back ? Is he a holding midfield player now?
  22. Rothwell's been Ok, wouldn't have taken him off. Elliott's had a stinker
  23. Reading content to sit back and watch our lot pass among ourselves because they know it's not gojng to amount to anything
  24. Passing to no purpose backwards, sideways, and backwards again isn't playing well.
  25. Every game. And it's usually around the 20 minute mark we concede. And it's usually a soft goal. It's all so predictable
