  1. What pills did Hedges take this morning? If it were a horse race there'd be a stewards inquiry
  2. Hedges seemingly a first choice pick every match tells you everything That's a relegation team Hull 2 Rovers 0
  3. Wrexham AFC, the Welsh football club owned by two Hollywood actors, expects commercial revenue this season to rival some mid-sized Premier League teams, a sign of how its international fan base is helping it outperform off the pitch. Story in the FT. https://www.ft.com/content/9e9c67f9-fa26-42f0-940d-44d48fe105ba Ambition and a plan. And some say we should be grateful for the owners we have and we're a small club no one is interested in buying
  4. Rovers fans were attacking opposition players on the pitch in 1926 https://ewoodpark.jimdofree.com/blackburn-has-no-lads-from-the-terraces-crowd-trouble-blackburn-youth-elders/ Mercer and I were there 😀
  5. Good luck and I wish them well; all I'm saying is that in 15 years the club is a continuing state of chaos and decline and nothing has worked. In my opinion the latest softly softly approach is likely to end the same way. Workers don't want to go on strike but sometimes they are forced into a corner and have no other choice and have to take direct action. This is where we are now - in my opinion
  6. I do what I can at my age but we were there in the trenches when it mattered Thousands on the pitch did make a difference then - and only a few were arrested. The same would likely happen now If you don't try you'll never know
  7. We did our bit then K_Hod, unless you're expected 70 to 80 year-olds to jump over the fence with our banners and placards Over to you
  8. The apparent lack of passion and acceptance about the club's decline is astonishing to older generations. We didn't have the internet then to moan and complain from our armchairs so we made ourselves heard in the only way we knew - by getting on the pitch and in front of the directors box to let them know how we felt It worked Hull 2 Rovers 0
  9. To be fair to Jackson and the LET the story has been reported and edited correctly. The "strange" in the headline is in quotes to show it is attributable and not a comment. Jackson could of course do an opinion piece on Rovers' performance in the transfer window so far - and whether the club has been truthful or not.
  10. "Rovers are pushing to make a breakthrough in their search for attacking reinforcements" Translation: We've made inquiries but aren't getting anywhere because we won't pay the money
  11. It’s the small mistakes that make the difference between winning and losing. Both Brum goals should not have happened and were the result of basic errors by players who are inexperienced and probably not good enough for the Championship anyway. Of more concern is the lack of skill and creative ability and goalscoring power. It’s obvious this team will struggle to score goals. Put together over the course of a season they will lead to relegation
  12. Heavy heart and desperately hope it’s the wrong call but it looks serious this time. Everything about the club doesn’t feel right. The team isn’t good enough. Today was a foretaste of what it’s going to be like this season. Lots of effort and application but the lack of quality and experience gets found out Grim.
  13. AFAIK Coar has been a constant throughout the chaos and decline of the. past 15 years. If he really cared about the club he would have resigned at some stage in protest. But he hasn’t, he’s never even made a public statement that I’m aware of, so the only conclusion must be is that he’s fully signed up to and supports the current regime
  14. Tight news management and all awkward questions banned. Trump's Maga regime alive and well at Ewood. How did it come to this?
  15. Cantwell has his faults and detractors but he’s one of the few if not the only player we’ve got who has a bit of skill and eye for a pass to unlock defences. Who else has any creativity? He has to play if he’s fit
  16. Expected a defeat but not to a rubbish, preventable goal like that
  17. No goals anywhere in six Championship games this afternoon..... except at the Hawthorns
  18. Soft goal.... someone didn't deal with that long throw
  19. West Brom 1-0 Relegation thread activated
  20. Maybe but not necessarily. It's still the cricket season and don't know whether I can stand the Rovers pain
  21. Does anyone know if this is pay on the gate?
  22. Twas a joke Rev! I hope we don't lose either Travis or Tronstad. Hedges does need to be replaced though
  23. Well, he would say that wouldn't he (copyright Mandy Rice Davies)
  24. If he turns out to as good as either of those 2 we have signed a £50 million player. I'd settle for better than Travis who hopefully isn't going but whom he seems likely to replace,
