The Climate Change Performance Index ranked Australia last out of 57 countries responsible for more than 90% of greenhouse gas emissions on climate policy. It highlighted the country's no-show at a UN climate summit in September and its withdrawal from an international fund to tackle climate change. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-50869565 Australia will have to decide whether to take a huge hit to the economy by weaning itself off natural resource exports or risk becoming an international climate pariah like Trump's US. The so-called lucky country is running out of luck.

Brilliant bowling and catching by England so far. So pleased for Mark Wood after all his injury problems

Great old ground but looks sad barely half full. Sheffield's a great football city and both clubs should be in the Premier....Wednesday have been badly managed for decades. Agree about the Leppings Lane stand though. Football with all its riches should have paid for it to be knocked down and renamed

Didn't know about Davies and Mahoney. And how did we miss Paul Mariner at Chorley? and Vardy at Fleetwood? Just goes to show it's not necessary to go hunting in Poland and when there are hidden gems on your doorstep. -
..... sorry, but some are destined to fall on stony ground.
-
It wasn't a political point ....... it was just another way of poking fun at Burnley.

Enjoyed watching Tommy Hutch. How could Rovers miss those 2? -
Potentially "toxic"....especially with the Sussexes in the spotlight at present. Can I mention Brighton & Hove Albion? They play in Sussex
-
You ain't in our group.

The context was the Blackburn-Burnley rivalry. There was no insult. Nip what in the bud? There was no argument. It was a light-hearted attempt at fun - which missed its target obviously
-
Good grief

So comments on stories that combine football and politics are off limits ? How about the racism issue in football - that's pretty divisive too ? Alot of Rovers fans now refer to our six-fingered rivals as the Burnley Tories - is that censored too?

Also going back to the 1960s, Rovers rejected Tony Green and Tommy Hutchison, 2 superb players who went on to play for Scotland. Bolton turned down Alan Ball because he was too small! -

If Mols is that good, at 21 he should be in the first team now -

The lure of Rooney will pull him to Derby. Any young Polish lad would be swayed by the prospect of going shopping with Coleen. -

Downing got a free ride on Saturday after their player was sent off. Downing will disappear when an opposition manager tells his midfield enforcer to get in Downing;s face. He's not a solution -
There's only one Rovers.
-
Always Rovers, even outside the area.
-
Which is probably what I was trying to say - that no one should get too excited by Saturday and that we're more than likely not to turn up in the next match. As has been pointed out, it's Rovers. No Rovers fan ever refers to the club or the team as Blackburn
-
.... because it was false. Did you attend the home match with Wigan? We could have been in the top 6 that night but played like frightened schoolboys. We then took 3 points out of 15. Yesterday's was a fantastic result but it was a one-off. It's no co-incidence most of our best performances have been away. QPR will likely beat us in our next home match.
-
Even allowing for the sending off, which seemed to knock the stuffing out of them, Sheffield Wednesday were dire. 5-0 wins away from home are a cause for celebration but I'd be amazed if we kick on from this and get anywhere near the play-offs. The rubbish served up over the Christmas and new year period is more of an indication of our real level than the complete aberration of yesterday's result.
-
Stunning win but Wednesday were b. awful and doesn’t make up for the results and rubbish performances since mid-december which have effectively ended our season. It will need a huge effort to get back to where we were then and I don’t see it happening.

Why play like this after the dross over the past 4 weeks? It doesn’t make any sense
