  1. Also going back to the 1960s, Rovers rejected Tony Green and Tommy Hutchison, 2 superb players who went on to play for Scotland. Bolton turned down Alan Ball because he was too small!
  2. If Mols is that good, at 21 he should be in the first team now
  3. The lure of Rooney will pull him to Derby. Any young Polish lad would be swayed by the prospect of going shopping with Coleen.
  4. Downing got a free ride on Saturday after their player was sent off. Downing will disappear when an opposition manager tells his midfield enforcer to get in Downing;s face. He's not a solution
  5. There's only one Rovers.
  6. Always Rovers, even outside the area.
  7. Which is probably what I was trying to say - that no one should get too excited by Saturday and that we're more than likely not to turn up in the next match. As has been pointed out, it's Rovers. No Rovers fan ever refers to the club or the team as Blackburn
  8. .... because it was false. Did you attend the home match with Wigan? We could have been in the top 6 that night but played like frightened schoolboys. We then took 3 points out of 15. Yesterday's was a fantastic result but it was a one-off. It's no co-incidence most of our best performances have been away. QPR will likely beat us in our next home match.
  9. Even allowing for the sending off, which seemed to knock the stuffing out of them, Sheffield Wednesday were dire. 5-0 wins away from home are a cause for celebration but I'd be amazed if we kick on from this and get anywhere near the play-offs. The rubbish served up over the Christmas and new year period is more of an indication of our real level than the complete aberration of yesterday's result.
  10. Stunning win but Wednesday were b. awful and doesn’t make up for the results and rubbish performances since mid-december which have effectively ended our season. It will need a huge effort to get back to where we were then and I don’t see it happening.
  11. Why play like this after the dross over the past 4 weeks? It doesn’t make any sense
  12. Rovers have money to spend on players ....... all is good Rovers have no money to spend on players .....all is good. No criticism of Rovers allowed on here. Un-chuffing-believable
  13. And another one... My Dad took me to my first professional match as a 5-year-old (Brighton v PNE) After about 20 minutes I asked in a loud voice: "Are they playing football or rugby?"
  14. Same old problem with the England top order batsmen - they make little cameo 30s and 40s but don't go on to make the big score. Struggle to make 300 plus now unless Stokes comes to the rescue
  15. Irrelevant and a non-sequitur - unless you are suggesting that billionaires are potty.
  16. Venky's are still here and financing the club. That's not tragic, despite their mistakes; it's a remarkable act of faith
  17. Q: How do you know? A: You don't
  18. Apologies. Please delete any of mine that add nothing

    You know the ones

  19. Me too. But I also think the senior "managers" haven't a clue what's going on either. They clearly weren't expecting Mulgrew to suddenly come back
  20. Do the people working at Rovers have any idea what is happening at Rovers?
  21. Just what we need ....... an overpaid ageing defender back on the books. Welcome back Charlie
  22. Bought for £700k and we can't even get our money back. Poor but not untypical of this Rovers management. Goodnight
  23. So both decent players according to you but we can't even get back the £700k we paid for them? Poor management
