  1. Much ado about nothing-nothing in every game so far. Come on Rovers.
  2. How long have you been supporting Rovers? You don't know your club!
  3. Brentford struggling. Makes our 2-2 there look poor
  4. Yes, we can get there but and at 5 points behind there isn't much room for error there can be no excuses in games like the next one against Stoke - its has to be 3 points. Over to you Tony
  5. Stoke a better side than the one we played earlier in the season and fighting for their livres. People debate "must win" games but these are the ones you really need to win with us 5 points behind. Tony will play it cautious as usual. I see another Wigan. This has 0-0 written all over it.
  6. Lovely photo. Boys in their school uniforms and men in smart coats and wearing ties and taking pride in their appearance. No such thing as "casual" clothing then; those people would be aghast at the way folk dress today.
  7. Sometimes you have to give the player credit and it was a great strike from him. I wouldn't fault Walton at all. He has a great game and saved us from defeat. Not closing out winning positions is down to Mowbray's poor game management. With only average management we'd be easy top 6. Thought the defence was better at Charlton. Impressed by Brentford - a good side
  8. News shock... Chaddy says we wuz robbed. No we weren't; but for Walton we'd have lost easily
  9. Have to say Brenford much better than us
  10. Agony. watxhing this. If we back off any more we'll be behind the goals
  11. Ball keeps coming back.... no presence up front
  12. We're playing it long again... to no one in particular
  13. Happy if we esacped with a draw. It's all Brentford
  14. Samuel started well against Charlton but he was anonymous for most of the second half. Players back from injury often come back revitalised but it's too soon to get excited about Dom.
  15. Brentford a good example of a "slow build". The club has been on the up for a few years thanks to good management. I wouldn't put us in their class though - they have very good people at the top with a clear sense of direction.
  16. My brother was at Rovers for a couple of years until he was 9, even then it was being coached to all the outfield players the best technique for diving. Some very bitter PNE fans on there
  17. Are you saying he wouldn't have made signings if money had been forthcoming from the owners? Our failure to strengthen was down to lack of funding, not player availablity
  18. Tony's natural caution will show through at Brentford. He'll be worrying about how good they are and set up his team accordingly. As a result, the mindset of the player is likely to be wrong too - the complete opposite of the positive attitude they showed at Charlton.
  19. I'd go on an earlier train if possible. You;re relying on everything going to schedule and even then it's tight making the kickoff
  20. I don't think suicide is selfish, although it has a huge impact on their loved ones. People who kill themselves are in intense and overwhelming pain, and often have distorted thinking and perception. Although it's hard to understand, they may feel like people are better off without them. I have to say I had never heard of Caroline Flack before Saturday.
  21. On yesterday's performance yes, overall doubtful. Jury is still out and he has to cut out the silly errors. Review at the end of the season.
  22. Now then, that was one of my few live sightings of Chapman yesterday .... and I can't say I was impressed, one of the few downsides on an otherwise excellent day. Watching him going through his paces with the other substitutes at half time, he definitely had an "attitude", a cocky player who obviously rates himself and sees himself as special. Now that's fine when you can back it up with performances on the pitch, but Chapman did nothing in his cameo appearance to justify it. His one attempt at taking on the full back was a clumsy shove of the ball past the defender and foot race that he easily lost. What have I missed ?
  23. Yep, made space for himself cutting in from the right then sliced the ball horribly when it needed a left-footed curl to get it round the keeper. From the little I've seen of him he favours the right side of attack and likes to run with the ball. He's probably better than Gallagher in that role but he can't play with his back to goal down the middle and I cannot for the life of me see why we paid so much money for him.
